Anyone read issue 1? Interesting concept, and itâs getting solid reviews.
I picked the first issue up at the store as it sounded interesting. Plan to read it and much of my big olâ reading stack when Iâm able.
Not usually a fan of black & white (although this one has more shades of gray I suppose) but something about this alternate variant I like.

Same here. I did sell an Absolute Batman #1 Jim Lee foil for $95 on Monday.
I wouldnât sell the variants. They have already become very scarce because of that wave of cover ripping.

The Main/A cover was selling for so much more than the variants so people were ripping off the variant cover and selling the book that way (main cover beneath).
Look at the ratio of available 1st print A covers to the Dragotta Cover K. Night and day.
I would think that specific cover is a much more popular cover, being the foil version of A, and that is causing it to be less available as opposed to all the other âmehâ covers. I would speculate itâs likely to be more people holding them for the PC or future specâŠ.I highly doubt people are ripping off that specific variant cover in mass given all the other variant covers available for likely less cost that most donât even know or care about.
The same may be said about any ratio variants.
What would be interesting to see would be a breakdown of all first print card stock covers, how many are current offered for sale on eBay, and what thei average sale prices (raw) have been the past month. Then do the same 2-6 months later.
Canât AI/Chatgpt do that for us yet?
