Is this a new character?

No that is one of the characters people thought would be in Wanda/Vision because of the Darkhold

@ry3zen
Chthon first appeared in Avengers #186 that is now pricey because (as Alana mentioned) the Wandavision series.
Pretty cool character though and rumors still persist.

This is a cool book that has his origin that still can be found cheap (usually) if you’re interested.

I remembered now. Yes, I actually bought A #186 for $90 raw since I was looking for Scarlet Witch key books at the time.

Chthon being a focus of a storyline that starts in September with Spider-Man movie in December and Dr Strange in March raises my suspicion of the character appearing.

Comicbookrealm.com is indicating 10 years ago since Chthon appeared outside of reprints.

And so it begins…

Bye bye Diamond

I think Diamond will survive. It has Image, DRk Horse, and some stores are using Diamond wholesale for Marvel to make things theoretically easier than working with three distributors. Time will tell, of course; it could be doomed still.

Working with 3 distributors is going to be a pain…lets see how it plays out.

You basically just said “Diamond will survive or it will not.” LOL

My sense is that the market is too small to support 3 distributors. I suspect the steady state will have two or even one.

That’s an oxymoron for sure… heh!

Diamond will not survive. The nickel and dime distribution contracts they are signing now will not support them in the long run.

I agree. Unless they start distributing other things for retailers (even beyond comic book shops), they’re doomed.

Anybody read Good Boy #1? How was it?

I enjoyed it for what it was. It’s John Wick as a dog. The elevator pitch tells you all you need to know.
