I’d buy it if they did this with a different artist. Lotay, Anacleto, and Nakayama have covers but they chose Brao for this which is disappointing.
The next New Champion that is heating up is Amaranth, the Scarlet Witch sidekick. She makes her first official appearance in next month’s SW 6 and is on multiple covers, including A. And, she’s part of the New Champions book that comes out in a few months.
First cover was the previous volume issue 9. Cheap ones are gone from eBay and now up to $20-30.
If you find any New Champion book in the dollar bins, but it. Seems like a matter of time before they’ll all spike (maybe temporarily).

Of all those Champions Covers…It was actually this one (the SW one) that I was never able to find out and about. I was somewhat surprised.
I do agree with grabbing just all of them if you can get them cheap, but some of them are just do cheesy that I really hope they don’t do anything with them lol.
I bought 3 complete sets of all the Champions covers last fall for $25 a set. I just grab the 3 copies of next “Hot” character for that month or next and slap them up on the Bay of e.

It’s always possible… I preordered a few copies of #5 back at foc just in case.
All of these characters did have a traditional cameo in this book, too. But, it doesn’t seem to be of much interest to people. I think it was just a one-pager. Hopefully 6 is her full app.

My time here has taught me how this game works. In order for it to pop it requires influencers to talk about said book on shows or social media. Once the audience is made aware it doesn’t take a lot of sales to set the market. Book pops to 2x-3x cover price and be forgotten in a week or two. Influencers need to continue making new content and move on to the next book.
Sometimes a book will catch on and stay hot like the first Hellverine cover (Wolverine 36) where demand trumps supply. That Hellverine cover is still hot selling in the $70 range.

The New Champions covers were a miss from me. I thought they were the next legacy characters like Children of the Atom that didn’t do much of anything. Somehow these popped.
It’s funny, you never know what book will pop. Some I’ve thought for sure would didn’t, or haven’t yet anyway. Some covers you know right away, but it’s harder on the first appearances.
Same here—totally overlooked all of these books. It seems to happen a couple of times a year, independent of how much time one studies and devotes to speculation.

Just a heads up there will be no Marvel FOC on 10/28, 12/23, and 12/30… I should clarify this came from PRH, I’m not sure if Diamond is doing the same.

So this means its also technically first appearance of that spiderboy. Interesting. Will pick one up for when people discover this issue 10 years from now.
