Anyone picking up the first Comics! magazine?

Not sure what to think if it will have anything of value but the price point is right…

I’ll likely pick one up…either pre-order through MCS (if they’re offering it) or through my LCS. At $2.99 retail might as well buy two.

Lots of people talking about it…so I think it’ll be highly ordered…we’ll have to see if the demand is there.

Edit: MCS does have it up for pre-order. $2.09. Easy decision.

I’m definitely interested to read it and see if it can be a Wizard for the world of 2026. The cover is a mash-up of existing art, so no new AB art – unsure if collectors will covet it. Haven’t seen a page count but yeah, can’t argue with the price.

Edit: Just saw it’s a 32-pager.

I just see the one blind bag variant on Lunar’s site
Lunar Distribution

Looking into this as part of this week’s FOC article.

Cover H (not shown on Lunar) looks to be foil variants of all the solicited covers. If you look at the list of artists (below), each one is tied to a cover being solicited.

  • A is Shehan.
  • B & F are Wayshak.
  • C is House.
  • D is Alexander.
  • E is Luckert
  • G is Suspiria (blind bag)
  • I is Robinson, although it’s already a foil (with a $9.99 price tag)…so may be the same cover, or maybe a variation of it

Limited edition foil blind bags that could include a ONE-OF-ONE ā€œGolden Ticketā€ gold foil variant by Chris Shehan. Other randomly inserted variants include foil, full art variants by Jonathan Wayshak, Jason Shawn Alexander, Suspiria, Chris Shehan, Jeremy Robinson, Maan House, Danny Luckert

Does anyone still care…?

Nope. The FOMO crowd has moved on to the next thing.

I like the fomo crowd. They send me their money.

Nope. I might buy one just to see how far the print run dropped off from MATW #1. If they still print that on the back of the book.

It feels like I can’t give away the very last of my mark spears books. It was fun while it lasted.

It looks too computer generated for me… but I have yet to buy one Mark Spears book…

This one will be popular.

I did well selling (and still selling) Monster and the Wolf #1 books. Like mentioned above I can’t give away Monsters #8. I didn’t buy any Monsters #9.

It’s kind of funny a tenth issue is getting a seemingly ā€œspecialā€ treatment, with the repeating tens. Pepperidge Farm remembers when 10 issues wasn’t a big deal…

Shoot. Most Marvel books don’t make it to 10 these days.

Yep Infernal Hulk got canned at 10.

I mean…how long could a hulk remain ā€œinfernalā€ really?

But that’s disappointing though. Another series that seem to be liked by readers getting the boot.

It’s like a marvel doesn’t know what the f$&@ they’re doing…
