Then you didn’t see his last movie. Actually it wasn’t terrible. My wife wanted to watch it and didn’t realize it would be an action movie

The Bautista movie? I saw the previews but haven’t watched. The last thing I saw him in was Minecraft…guess that’s why my wife wanted to join me and my son.

Which eom poison ivy you referring to? I can’t think of the issue and I’m too lazy to look.

Poison Ivy #31 was his first DC work

He is very pleasant to the eyes too… I mean, come’on… If he showed anyone of us any type of interest, do not say you wouldn’t say no!

That’s very cool. I didn’t know that was his first DC work. My favorite is Poison Ivy #41. Stunning artwork. I had to pick that up. The Lois Lane cover is a good one as well.

@Braainz @LanLubber

Did you both read the advance copies of Lobo #1, Deathstroke #1, Batwoman #1 ?

Lobo #1 - Corona’s art was great. But Skottie Young writes Lobo like he’s Deadpool…

Deathstroke #1 - Giandomenico’s art was great. But the story was meh

Batwoman #1 - meh. not for me. the art was something similar from 30-40 years ago. seemed a lazy choice. Rucka’s writing was meh. He his past his prime, like Bendis.

I didn’t… I typically don’t read the advances for DC since I figure I’d be 100% lost not being a DC reader, other than Absolute Batman. Good to know, I was really wondering about the Batwoman book. The other two books were probably going to be a pass for me.

I haven’t had a chance. Work has been crazy - tomorrow is an all comics day for me to catch up

We have big snow projected here tomorrow on the east coast. Will be shoveling and comic reading all day for me.

Multiple school day closure expected. Is it march yet?

Almost. High school baseball tryouts are next weekend. We are supposed to get 6-12 inches of snow which has now melted, followed by a monsoon rain storm and now followed by more snow. Should have them try out for high school outdoor swimming.

Third Eye has a Middleton variant…I wonder if they swapped it out with this Mora variant.

Yes, it’s C. Some shops list it as Middleton.

I don’t know if we’re talking about this one yet, but we will. Comes out in April. It’s written by the guy who directed one of the Conjuring movies, apparently.

I’m a big fan of indy horror/fantasy mini-series. I tend to read a lot of these, and far less superhero stuff these days (unless the superhero stuff is written by Tom King). The new series I’ve been most interested in pre-FOC in 2026 were:

Dorc
Bleeding Hearts
White Sky
The Brutal Dark (This week)
Nectar (Next week)
Corpse Knight (April)
Red Roots (April)

I still think Bleeding Hearts might be the winner long-term from a “best story” perspective.

I preordered a copy. Reminded me of Pale Knight from Mad Cave.

Even with books I’m very certain will be good buy ins I’m not a mass buyer. Typically 5 books is pretty big for order for me.
This book (or an assortment of covers will he about 20).
I don’t care if it takes of in the comic community and spec folk (me included).
What I know is that the young age gaming folks love, love this game, title, franchise.

When I put Dead by Daylight books right on site, very visible at a con…every single copy sells and the kids don’t care about price. I’m not gouging but they want it and here comes the venmo or cash app tap. Evey copy sells.

Many of them aren’t really collectors of the comics. They aren’t really there to dig or even ask. They are at the con for Pokemon and other stuff comics have taken a back seat too

They have to be in a space that immediately catches their eye,=sold.

I heard of the game, but I had to look up if it’s still relevant and apparantly it’s huge. Plus it has an in game code which will only be available through the comic and not available for digital purchase, whatever that’s worth. This is on the top of my FoC list.
