For a brand new comic book with nothing significant on the inside, and nothing original on the outside, yes, $75 + shipping is ridiculously steep.
Well, it is actually $37.50 + shipping per book. Someone could have bought a trade dress for $25. Sold out in 5-10 minutes.

Itās a nice cover, and I do much prefer artistsā storesā variant books, as opposed to the much over saturated retailer variants. $75 buy in for two new books is still too steep, imo.
Yep, but not steep enough. Letās see what he does with the Carnage cover. He might just jump the shark and charge $150 a set. I plan on keeping 1 set , selling the other sets and adding a nice book to the pc with the profits.
Will depend on how many ASM #55 printings there ends up being , but they will make a great wall display.
Side by side makes me wonder why he didnāt do black background and red web for carnage since he is red.
Yeah thatās my only thought how many prints they actually make.
Maybe the 2nd print of 55 took that idea.
Carnage doesnāt have, or use, āwebsā. Perhaps the artist had that in mind.
I was never in on this. I liked Spider-man #55 and the 2nd print and the 1:50 but I am not chasing all these Gleason homages to himself. lol I hope everyone makes cash money but I am out
From what I understand heās not planning on doing anymore.
Nope⦠nope nope⦠Let them sit on their copies I say.
āstill availableāā¦LMAO
Absolutely not and I like the cover. F them and others like them for buying up all the copies and gouging the shit out of em. Added to the list of people to never buy from.
Completely understood. It was for anyone that didnt want the Ebay route. As someone who bought it from Gleason all the fill ins I had to do to even buy the book amazes me he didnt have limits set. I almost thought I was gonna miss out filling in all the info even with auto fill.
He did have a lot to fill out
Could be worse. The guy who runs the CBSI Exclusive group was selling the trades for $70 each in the group.
