Uggggg…so now this damned 1k book, shipped 5 weeks ago…that finally arrived in the correct state…has a tracking status of “missent” and apparently was sent to the wrong city/postal center in CA.
Absolutely unbelievable…problem is, my buyer is starting to get irritated at this point…nicely irritated. Can’t say I blame them.
I get the postal woes…but I’m not real happy with them at this point.
I foolishly used the post office drop box so it shows pre-shipment. Hence them insisting I maybe didn’t ship it. I dropped it off, it is just sitting a pile somewhere. I put in a request with USPS that may go nowhere. I’ll probably end-up refunding them and when the comic finally arrives in 2-4 weeks they’ll have it for free.
A friend I mailed some comics and a comic-themed calendar to almost a month ago finally got it. He paid me well for the comic too, but as he’s my chum he didn’t whine the whole time it was slowly getting to him. This person I’m dealing with this for comic is just a pain.
Yeah, @Comicpro I may stop holding ever. I’ve only had it work out well for me once where someone needed 2 weeks for a Scarlet Witch variant that I was asking $75 for and it was kinda rare, but not always sought-after, just pricey and rare. He was so pumped for it and insisted he would pay as soon as he had the money–sending actual pics of his checking account being super-low (with any critical info blurred-out). I waited and he paid and was patient and great. That is the ONE time holding something worked out for me. Any other time, even if I hold for just half a day, seems to end up biting me in the bum.
The 3 Midtown orders that were stuck at the post office since December 7th were delivered yesterday. No damages, thankfully.
Only if I know you (or you bought before and held up your end of the bargain) I’ll hold something. If I have a line of people willing to pay and someone who was first says they want the item but can’t pay for another 12+ hours… sorry bud, first one with cash wins…
This is why on eBay I’d just block people who would submit lowball offers, like 50% or more off the asking price… (usually when I was already the lowest priced, yes, I love undercutting others). Even if I was willing to cut my price in half, these are just those types that are probably gonna be a PITA if something goes wrong…
If it’s in the same state, the book should be delivered within 2 days. That has happened to me too…
Thank the maker!
Clone Wars #1 Cgc 9.4 arrived safely to the buyer.
2 day priority shipped 11/30…what an an anxiety ridden journey. On the plus side, buyer and I are now friends!
“Did we just become best friends?”
glad to hear it worked out
For the last 3 or 4 weeks my LCS has been having issues with Diamond shipment arriving on time. DC arrives as scheduled but Marvel, Image, and indy books show up either mid-day Wednesday or later.
One of my shops just posted the other day how this week’s Diamond shipment is delayed.
Apparently this is because of the west coast printer delay.
