Damn. I think you are right Anthony. It just… ends?! That stinks. I take back what I said about liking it, then. 3 issues was no where near enough for that story to make sense. Liked where it was going, but to just end it… meh.
Same on that avengers 9 for a $1. I just watched Lords of the Longbox last night
raws were around $20-$25.The funny thing is the Avengers 0 issue predates that one and features the same character. People love chasing the wrong issue.
And some groups love pumping and dumping the wrong issues they loaded up on…
Hey, if you’ve got 50 of the wrong comic I guess you’re gonna fudge the numbers if you lack morals!
Morales? We don’t need no stinking morals!
Found Sitting on the lonely LCS shelf with no one to play with…
HA#3 B cover has low print run. Thats a future blue-chip with the popularity of punchline.
Hope so, I’ve got copies of CVR A but never picked up B, so lets see what the future holds.
Stopped past a comic store today that I don’t frequent too often, they had a 40% sale on back issues, so I managed to grab these, the Vader #3 was a lucky score, cover price and 40% discount, went through 9 boxes of star wars books and found one. The store actually has about 20-25 sets of the Vader series for $50, all 6 issues which is also a pretty damn good deal considering what just this issue sells for. I might go back and grab a couple sets.
Hell if any look like good grading candidates I’ll buy one of those sets from you! Haha
I paid $5 for both the Vader #3 and Thrawn #1. They were both cover price but store was doing a 40% discount so much cheaper.
I suspect they just missed this one as the rest were all part of the 6 issue sets.
I haven’t seen a DV3 for cover price for 3 years. The amount of quality books that your LCS misses, or is unaware of, is uncanny.
Always lucky to find the good stuff. It helps that there are 4 LCS in a 30km area and it’s South Africa so it’s not like we have many people here in the comics hobby, our stores focus more on merchandise and figures over comics as that’s where the market is.
South Africa? What part? Went there for my honeymoon. Loved it. Want to bring the kids back when they’re old enough.
I stay in the Sandton area which is the Northern Johannesburg part.
Where about were you for your honeymoon?
Flew into Capetown. Stayed near the waterfront…hit the cape, table top, Robben island and Hermanis as well as wine country the first week…covered a lot. Drove ourselves around so we had that freedom not being stuck with a tour. Then flew into JoBurg and from there drove up to Kruger for a week in a Safari Resort.
Would recommend it to anyone. So want to go back when the kids are old enough for night safaris. Very affordable when compared to places like Europe or Australia.
Very nice, got a good amount done, we go to Cape Town or Durban during the holiday periods, nice to get away from the big city and get down to the coast to just relax. My parents own a nature reserve and it’s always great to get out and see the wildlife, I’m sure it will be even more enjoyable when the kids are old enough to appreciate it.
It also is certainly a cheap country to entertain yourself, I remember when we lived in Dublin for a while, the cost of a KFC meal was the same price as a nice dinner at a restaurant here, even more so when you come in with dollars, pounds or euro’s haha, you can go wild.
