Best finds tho were these Goon vol 2 books. High Grade and great price.
2nd spot was a store back stock of long boxes which had been there for months and picked thru already but owner was cool to let me dig. since I had to do a lot of moving/shuffling and it was HOT🔥, whatever I found was $1! So I crossed my fingers and started to dig… 53 books in total but these are the highlights:
I’ve been buying a lot of Turner, Campbell, and Hughes covers from their early stuff when I find them for cheap. Found Legionnaires #7 for a $1 the other day, I’ll take that every time.
Next, we’ve talked about Eltingville Club books here. Found a copy of Dork 6 which has a 17 page Eltingville story and can be very pricey. Listed it for $70 this weekend and it sold within a day. It’s interesting that all the Dork books listed sold pretty instantly at the full asking price, mine was the same. It’s very possible that these are under priced. When I listed mine it was the only copy up for sale.
Got my copy of Dork #6 for $1.50. Bonus book Star Wars Legacy #0 for $0.25 cents. Nice return for the 4 books I picked up this weekend, all together spent about $11 Canadian.
Another haul from the local store today. All this for $47 bucks. Only cost me $3 out of pocket because I had traded in a bunch of my daughter’s old stuffed animals she no longer wanted. Going to see what I can turn this $3 into on eBay.
Ha. I was going to buy it at $6.99. Had a completely crap day at work so put it on the back burner and forgot about it. Come back and saved a dollar. Win win for me.
