Why do you think Thane will be in the current Thor story? That was thanos in issue 6 flashforward.
Was it thanos? Sure didn’t look like him once you really took a look. The obvious attire makes you see thanos, but I also think it has a real good chance to be thane

In the next issue he is literally asking beta Ray bill all about thanos, meaning it was him.
Maybe he wants to know about thanos, to know about thane 
I don’t think that’s it, to me it reads like Cates is 100% alluding that that is Thanos in that panel.
He also made some hinting tweets when it came out that Thanos is being brought back in Eternals issue #2.
On the splash page you can see that Than (insert “E” or “OS” as you see fit) is wearing / wielding that black gauntlet, and a zombie 
♂ hoarde behind him appears to be frozen in amber. Both of which hint that it is Thane.

Sir yes sir back on topic SIR! Had to swing back into Excalibur comics on my way out of Shreveport and also to southern realms comics in Ruston, LA today …southern realms is very unorganized and is where I found the kanan 1 swa16 and siktc 6.
