Feeling very, very good about this haul. All at cover, less after discount actually. Couldn’t believe it when I hit the little run of Canto. The 3rd print of #1 is a beast. Everything in beautiful condition to boot. The ASM 3 is a 2nd print. Love that Pepe Le Pew cover with the bright yellow.

I don’t know why I keep torturing myself every time lurking these threads. My LCS in my area would never have these books sitting in their back issue bins for cover. It seems like all my shops in my area have key collector. What’s worse is that every time a book gets hot for the week everyone would call into the shop asking to save it.
For example Daredevil 25, first Elecktra Daredevil. It was the hot book for the week and I went to a few shops to see if I could find any copies. I was there when the shop opened and of course no one had it out for sale. While in the store I could hear customers call one after another looking for that book only.
Thankfully I had Daredevil on my pull list with my regular shop and got myself a copy, but the thought of trying to get extra copies to stash away from other shops in my area was impossible. No chance I would ever find any hot back issues if they were ever featured on key collector or Bleeding Cool or any other sites.

Yup - It is absolutely a dog eat dog world out there in the physical LCS land; as well as online land. This is often no longer about $ (one digit). It is often about $$$ (3 digits).
And as long as $$$ are involved; everyone is going to be looking for a better angle than their competitors.
That’s become the world of comic collecting for quite some time now.

Funny… just as I speak of dog eat dog, the Gleason Carnage variant went up on his site and was sold out… ohhh… within 10 seconds. Hmmm… in a dog eat dog world, I guess Bots eat regular folks trying to get a copy

I don’t really fault Gleason for continuing to let this happen. Personally, if I were him selling 3,000 comics a pop, I’d much rather send 6-12 boxes of a couple hundred books a piece than 2-3,000 packages to everybody and their mom. I’m not necessarily defending it, I just understand it.
Having said that, it genuinely sucks for those fans who just want a copy for the PC and aren’t out for massive profit. It sucks big time, because you can just assume a Gleason exclusive is $50-100 on eBay and save yourself the heartburn of even trying his site.
The only way that behavior stops is for everyone to stop paying marked up secondary market prices 5 minutes after they sell out. Move on to the next book and a month or two later after FOMO dire out and everyone is woo’ing the next shiny object grab it at or slightly above the original price.
These are primarily flippers buying all of them up, don’t feed the store variant FOMO beast, or it’ll bite ya in the end.

The exact same art is available for the open order cover A of issue 1 of this series. Nobody has to lose out, and, when you hold the book in your hand, you’ll know what series and issue # it is. Win win.

Hmmm… I see Comic Mint has the Gleason website exclusive up for sale now. Hmmm… I have no idea, no idea whatosever how they got so many of these. Must be like… osmosis or something?
Or hoarding copies to create a false “limited” supply…

To be that blatant and in my face a day after they sell out in less than 10 seconds and for them to have that volume available now - I’m truly done forever and for good.
And yea… I hope someone from the Comic Mint sees this.
They need to know.

Nice, glad people are getting on that Aero 1 2nd print. I picked up 3 last week that I posted here and might go back and get the other 3 if they’re still there.
That FF is selling. Couldn’t find any copies while hunting yesterday. Picked up some other FF books that I’ll post in a min. Love that silver spidey cover - my fav one. I have a t-shirt of it lol. Congrats on the finds.
I managed to snag about 8 copies of that FF book so far. That’s the first time I’ve found it in a store, the others were online.
