I’ll work on getting a pic later, but I really lucked out today at the LCS.
I won a couple of $10 Variant Mystery Packs (blind bags) from my LCS during a Facebook show they were hosting. Each pack has 2 variants in them When I opened the first one I found Batman 100 1:25, first appearance of Ghostmaker! The other hook was JJ Abrams Spider-Man #5, 1:25. The second pack had Batman 104 1:25 and Star Wars 11 (2021) 1:25 by Dan Mora.
Needless to say I am stoked about the Batman covers. I already down them, but now I have 2 of each and the cost was $0.

Hit up the lcs today and spent some time going through the back issue bins. Grabbed a bunch of the wizard variants that were still in the original plastic sleeve with the coa but changed out to a bag and board. Everything was $2-$6

Got a $25 gift card for Father’s Day…hit the honey hole today. Paid $3-$4 ea except Venom #1 ($28) and Spidermab 2099 ($8).
$40 total after the gift certificate.
Hoping the What If will pay for the whole lot today.
Some Newsie foil covers and 2099. Realized when I got home the venom had a few more “scars” than I first observed, but probably going to sell my direct copy and keep this one anyway.
Some random books to flip.
Couldn’t pass up some Throg books for cheap. And this is a classic GR cover (and 1st app within is heating up). I may have to sell my Newsie copy of GR 21 and keep this book in the PC as it’s in NM shape, tough to find for this white cover.

Had a nice weekend of pickups.
- Checked out a local gaming shop that happens to carry comics for the sole purpose of Stray Dogs.
- My local antique store honey hole came through with a dead mint run of Spirits of Vengeance & :a couple other books for $1 and $2 a book
- The best find…one local shop always clears their variants and puts them in separate variant boxes once they are old, don’t sell. They tend to get passed over due to high price or because they weren’t popular to begin with…Boom…2 acetate Stray Dogs…still at the
$24.99 release day price, plus 10% off sale. I always grabbed more varies issues of Stray Dogs at cover.
Not pictured were a couple more Nice House on the Lake.
I absolutely loved Stray Dogs… honestly moved into one of my all time favorites.

Sadly not cover price, I paid $300 for everything, strange academy is 9.8 IMO, and DV3 is probably 9.6. I’m sending both of those off to cgc.
