Well…I bought that Robins #2 workout comic for $6 (actually $3 as there was a half off back issues sale)… immediately flipped it for enough money to buy this book and have a little bit of spending money left over even.
I’ve always wanted this comic. I actually don’t mind paying the current inflated price, especially given I essentially paid $3 for it all told.
Bernthal will be at an upcoming con I’ll be at in May. I’ll have easy access to his line as well. Punisher has always been my favorite… Marine Corps ties and all. I’m typically not a signature type, but I’d like to meet him, have him sign this book I think. Be a fun talking piece.
Picked this up from TFAW for $10 on FOC. I have the marvel super special, but liked this hard cover art as well. Collects the two issues of the marvel movie adaptation.
I sold my Creation Myth hardcovers a few years back for good money at the time…figured I’d just by the trades. I need to get them back. That was a good read.
Disappointed the Netflix series (age of resistance) wasn’t picked up for an additional season…they had really recreated the feel of the movie.
For me, JSC is neither I love his work nor I dislike his work.
I think he is an excellent artist when he puts time and effort and thought into the work.
And therein lies the problem - he is more of a business man with the goal to put in as little work as possible; copy the images with different colors or slightly different angles. And pass it off with an unreasonable sales price.
Been buying 1st appearances of cartoon characters since during Covid. Mostly 60s, 70s, & 80s. Really really really HTF in high grade.
Saw this from Mycomicshop listed as a VG- 3.5, but it looked nice & great price due to " given condition". I guess they made a pretty big grade mistake since this book is darn near exceptional. Went through every page. Another one down
Yep… got Huckleberry and 1st Flinstones (Dell Giant) on the super cheap during Covid when the world was MCU Nuts and completely avoiding classic cartoons.
That, has passed and things have reversed
990 is also first app of yogi bear, yea pre covid i stated to grab a few older one like that and jetsons, than covid hit and people spec’d on everything lol
