MK#190 is a “key” with the Sun King & MK’s Daughter. Recently added to my list of pickups. The other is a great cover. I’ve yet to read any MK stuff, except an issue or two of the original series on Comixology.
I think marvel stopped doing newsstands in 2013 and DC it was 2017

Damn. I thought even after they stopped they still put “Direct” in the barcode box.
Also forgot about the marvel timeline ending newsstand.
I guess I learned something today!

They left the direct edition for a good while after stopping newsstand distribution. Easiest way to tell is the end barcode. If it ends in two numbers it’s a newsstand. Directs will have five numbers at the end. There’s a few exceptions but generally that’ll tell you.

That New Mutants #8 is a cool book, but was a really good lesson to me with regards to FOMO and overpaying because of hype. I started collecting again after a long absence when that book became hot due to early spec rumblings about Deadpool. I greatly overpaid for that book to the tune of like 40 or 50 fifty bucks as I recall. I’ve found it in dollar bins since and have multiple copies cheap.
Again, fun book, love the run…but just seeing it reminds me of that waste of money lol and the importance of not buying into hype.

Yeah those X-Force team members in Deadpool 2 didn’t last long!! The whole series is full of first appearances so I pick them up whenever I can.
