A few sold for a few hundred thousand if I remember correctly.
Apparently it did NOT sellā¦did not hit the reserveā¦double OUCH!
Iām sure just having a reserve cost the seller a chunk of cash. Walk of shame to have it sent back.
Reserves just encourage shill bidding, IMO. Although Iām not sure how this is handled with heritage. I assume heritage says what the opening bid is, and the seller decides if they want a reserve price at the startā¦for a cost.
Auction houses hate reserves and try to sway people to not have one. Auction houses will try to get top dollar but their commission is based off the sale.
The economy blows. Iām paying almost the equivalent of my mortgage for PART TIME child care. This book will sell once we recoverā¦ IF we recover.

Given what Skottie charges for a sketch, and the reference to ābangersā, Iād expect this drop to be quite expensive.
