Y’know - instead of fighting KingPin he fights Emperor Penguins?
Emperors are “cooler” than Kings; so that’d be cool and appeal to the masses.

Webslinger is the cowboy Spider-Man.
I have a few and have had a copy listed for $18 for several
Months. I would have thought it would sell with the last trailer…but there it sits.
Unless the Spiderverse makes this character a featured one in upcoming trailers, I’m not sure it will go anywhere.
There are other store exclusives holding it back. And it’s Crain art and the possible stigma associated with it.
I had initially the same thoughts as you, but now I’m not so sure. If I came across NM or better copies for cover I’d still pick them up though. Small investment for a possible spike and n sales as the movie draws closer.

I think with Sun-Spider being in spiderverse 6 and it having a low print run hurts EOS 4a
All these Spider-characters now. I dunno, just too many of them. At first it was different and pretty cool, but now? They do sell monthly comics though, a lot of them, but I think for any to have long term collectability or real value those that are the most popular will have to branch out and evolve to more than just a spider-guy. New costume, a new name that doesn’t have “Spider” in it. Something that will make the best of these new characters more unique.

The character naming is pretty lazy, but I do like that they are exploring the spider-verse.

I’ve got high hopes for spintress.
I think her design is awesome and could really catch on for cosplayers.

In terms of merchandise, I can see Spintress, Sun-Spider and Spider-Rex doing well. Merchandise means reoccurring characters
