Unless you’re getting exclusives at cons or these high ratios, where is the money to be made off these books anymore?
I’d rather flip Dan Mora books for 1000% profit.

A CGC 9.8 of Monsters #1 cover A sold for a little over $1K recently. The bubble may burst (and probably will), but I honestly think that issues #1-3 and the Kickstarters (Monsters and M&tW) will remain high on people’s want lists.
I have 3 raw, high grade copies of #1 cover A bought at cover price so I’m good.

So, in a 9.8 the A cover sells for more than the book that started the frenzy. The market is interesting.

Bet there’s a nice color breaking crease along the middle of the spine too. $1000 for what likely would not grade higher than a 9.6 if regraded.

I need to find a new source for GI Joe IDW books. I am almost sold out. Literally books I couldn’t sell for $10 a few months ago are flying for $20.

Monster and the Wolf blind bag incentives came out of the gate strong with pre-sales and have been falling in price to 1/2 or less than “ratio”. Smaller quantity of blind bags (1-10 qty) are selling closer to cover price, deals are still out there for larger quantities. As we get closer to FoC and after, it will be interesting to see what the prices do at that point. I have a pretty big quantity in my cart at Lunar that I’m letting marinate. I probably won’t decide the final amount until the last minute. I know some of y’all have 0.0 in your cart lol

I keep thinking everyone must know about Spears books at this point but I was at a comic show a few weeks ago and a guy who does Youtube and sells online asked me what books are hot right now. I mentioned Spears Monsters and he hadn’t heard anything about the series.

Believe it or not… I was surprised as well. Patriot Comics if you want to give him a watch, he mainly buys older books and posts his finds.

I’m telling you, there are a ton of collectors and retailers that have absolutely no idea about the guy.
The blind bags are truly going to be the thing that puts Spears on the map for a lot of folks. And for crying out loud, Monsters 1 cover A is now selling for over a grand in a 9.8. I think every Halloween season to come could be good for Spears flippers.

Open order covers from #3 of Monsters which are reported to be in the 6,000 - 8,000 print run range are doing around cover price. If the variants from the blind bag fall into a similar range (which is what Mark said at most they would be) they will also probably be eventually around cover price. There might be an initial spike but they will likely settle down in price near cover. I think the incentives have a chance to go back up from where they are now or at least maintain. If he sells 300k that means there will only be around ~300 of the 1:1000, ~600 of the 1:500, ~1,200 of the 1:250. Until his fan base expands we won’t see much of an increase in price for anything with a print run in that 6-8k range. My 2 cents.

Agreed. Interestingly enough, cover A of #3 is starting to increase in price. $15 range. I’ve sold two this past week in the $12 range and they went pretty quickly.

Update from Mark’s discord about M&W blind bags in case you’re not on there:
"Just wanted to give everyone some info on the blind bags. We have 51 original covers in all. With foil variants, etc it equals over 80. That is not counting the 13 unholy grails. So lots of awesome stuff in these bags. I decided to not show any more covers just to let you enjoy as you open. Even in the back of the comic we might not show all the covers just to leave some mystery and suprise out there. Feel free to share any of this info.
Oh and the glow in the dark covers will only be glow in the dark, not a variant that is glow in the dark."
