Someone just posted in the Monsters discord that they have a 1/1 kickstarter card listed for sale on ebay and someone reached out to them to say they have the same 1/1 card. They provided pictures and it’s identical and marked 1/1.
My dad worked at a print press and they don’t make such mistakes when it comes to 1 of a kind types. If they do make another, it’s a shady employee creating them for themselves and I doubt an employee would be sending these out to kickstarter backers…
It’s still the kind of goof up that loses or should lose everyone’s trust… Cause now, you have to question if there are actually others out there and the kickstarter backers that got one don’t realize it.
Could be different kinds of foils like they do with 50 different numbered parallels of sports cards. There are 1:1 foils and 1:199 foils which is confusing. I wonder if they got mislabeled in error.
Printers have QA checks and honestly, if a second or more got printed and shipped off to Mark Spears to send these “prizes” off for his own Kickstarter, he’s the liable one still cause he should have been checking what he’s actually sending out. Let’s hope Mark Spears doesn’t blame someone else, he’s the guy in charge, he’s the one who should take full responsibility for his own kickstarter merch and prizes, giveaways, etc.
I’m not surprised. Marks stock is falling fast. Prices are falling off and it’s getting more difficult to move his stuff. Over saturation and one fumble after another are taking its toll.
