I think they could do so much better. I’m all for the visibility, but could we get some A-list cover artists and creative covers?
All artists are LGBTQ. I think the point was to highlight their talents. No doubt there are “A-List” LGBTQ artists, but they decided to go with some young blood.
It’s definitely a positive step and I appreciate it much like the indigenous artists/writers push because there is a lot of underrepresented talent out there. I follow a lot of alternative LGBTQ+ artists on social media, and honestly, these covers aren’t as good as some of the fan art I see.
I guess I should check my privilege and not complain, but as both a Star Wars fan and a kink educator, I truly believe we can do better.
