Midnight Spider-Man/X-Men/Fantastic Four

I don’t think this will do nearly as well as the Absolutes. Hopefully I’m wrong

Personally, I’d seek out the previews 57. It’s free money if it hits.

The ashcans have me scratching my head as every shop got at least 50 of them (there are probably more printed of those than absolute Batman 1)….but I suppose some people don’t live near shops so they get the FOMO disease…

All I can keep thinking is about the Blood Hunt series from a couple of years ago. Big hype and now they are dollar bin fodder. Marvel has been horrible in the last couple of years in terms of writing and protecting collectability, being cautious and hoping for a Absolute flipping bonanza!

It has a certain feel of desperation…and as much as they are pitching it as new and innovative, it doesn’t feel new and innovative at face value.

I’ll give it one issue. It’s going to be fantastic, or an epic fail.

If it’s the latter, could be a big loss of confidence in Their comic brand for a while as they are pushing this pretty hard. Could be quite the face plant if they stumble out of the gate.

Just need to @D-Rog to officially call out that it will be dollar bin fodder and we will see the next AB in effect…

I think these books are going to be pretty good. I dont know about flipping them.

I’m getting the first issue of each three. I’m doing it to read them and make a blog psot reviewing the, “Debut,” of this latest Universe. I have zero expectation these will heat up, however, due to the hype and such. As some folks say, they could be in the dollar bin within the year! I’m not mad if these did take off tho!

You got it.

Dollar bin fodder. Every single one of them. Throw it in the trash after reading it.
