From a speculators lens, First “appearances” are in the ashcan if not marvel previews #57. Also, the cover art is practically non-existent with all the black. Depending on the paper quality could be tough to get 9.8s though.
Hasn’t Marvel and DC done the vampire thing already too? Is this really that innovative?
I have my doubts. More doubt than excitement.
Interestingly enough, you could make similar points for their last attempt at a new universe in the Ultimate runs…I will probably grab the first issues, but no commitment beyond that.
Basically unless this story really lands in the first issue like ultimate spider-man did, this experiment is likely DOA.

As much as i am a horror fan and some of the covers look great, I’m not buying any of this stuff.
And yea… vampires, it’s been done. It’s all been done.
DC vs Vampires was just a few years ago too.

Big horror fan here but on the fence about these. Was gonna pre-order but didn’t want to add more series to my already too high buying list lol and frankly Marvel hasn’t had the best quality/execution in a while. X-Men as vampires looks fun but just reminds me of some What If issues from the 80s/90s. More intrigued by the Lovecraft angle it appears they’re going with for FF.

I’m most curious about the F4 take.
The Spider-Man one looks really interesting. I am not down on these. Ill be buying them all, and I expect them all to be pretty good.
Midnight Spider-Man is Junji Ito inspired, so I’ll buy that one. Not a fan of the A covers, but I’ll get one anyway. Don’t care about the vampire x-men or the horrific evil versions of FF.

Hope they’re all good reads at least and hopefully successful enough to give me the Midnight books I really want…a Midnight Sons imprint haha. Miss the days of Ghost Rider, Blade, Dr. Strange etc having their own little Marvel corner. So many wasted characters there.

Midnight Spider-man preview
havent looked but will they be pimping out midnight line with exclusives ?
I sold two of the ashcans for $7 each today. There are thousands of them out there now but people still want to buy them and I am happy to sell them.
So, the #1 A covers aren’t cloaked then, but most people probably think they will be based on the solicit images? OR Can I not read good? 
I think (?) they’re saying the full artwork is on the first page and only the first issue will have partial reveals. Subsequent issues will have an entirely black/shrouded cover.
But maybe I’m not card reading good either…

I’m so on the fence about ordering any of this midnight series… I’m hearing retailers are getting a lot of pre-orders.

I think there will be PLENTY of copies of al the MIdnight titles.
Everyone expecting this to blow up like Absolute Batman are gonna be in for a hurt…

I’m gonna treat Midnight like I did the Absolute trinity. Maybe buy one copy of Spidey, and see if anything hits.
There were so many copies of the Absolute titles on launch, it was no problem waiting a week or two before deciding to track down more. Ratios were cheap on MCS.

I agree though…with those predominantly black colors it’s asking for problems at the rack. I pre-ordered one of each…any beyond that I am hand selecting off the rack (unless it explodes out of the gate and is a flippers paradise).
