It is sold out everywhere I could find that still offers copies after FOC. I orders one at FOC thru MCS…but asked my shop if they could get me a copy as well.
One to watch….i’m sure we’ll be seeing some YouTube videos and market reports come out…looks like D’orc is alive and well for the moment.
Store I wanted to try is closed Sunday so hit the next closest one. Struck out on Dorc and DC KO Vs books but grabbed Knightfight 1 thru 4 and Bleeding Hearts 1 Foil for cover and some random back issues to fill in runs. Was shooting the shit with the counter guy for a while before paying and he ended up giving me the Hearts for free because they want people to try the new Vertigo titles.
I’m wondering if Titan is just slow to get moving or the sales not legit. Only a few sales…but some have been at prices slightly higher than what I have listed, and sold after I listed mine.
Also, the one getting bids has stalled at about 50 cents below my listing…so we’ll see what happens there. Somebody bid it up to that amount too…as if they stopped short knowing another copy was available once they hit $28.
I’m really curious to see if these DC KO tie-ins actually turn into anything. I sold one, but there aren’t a ton of sales on it in general. My shops seem to have copies.
I took a chance and ordered several copies of some…if it’s really just the cover battles this probably will die off quick…probably before ai get my copies…
I do hear good things about the storyline both online and in-store.
I think part of this is since the covid boom fallout, I know more and more shops are ordering fewer shelf copies and relying on pulls more and more. I think that is playing a role with the hot books that are hot because they are good (Assorted Crisis, Rook Exodus, for example). People hear about the quality down the road, then try to find recent back issues with no luck locally. I see it at my shops. Just fewer copies on shelves.
Yep. I pulled a copy of White Sky to read. Looks interesting.
Another one next week is the second Vertigo title launch (well, third if you count Nice House by the Sea switching mid-flight). End of Life. There’s a lot of nostalgic love for Vertigo, and Bleeding Hearts being so good surely helps. And, they are doing connecting covers for the new titles. Brutal Dark is next.
