Listed my last copy for $89.99. Sold. I have sold like 15 copies of the book now. Laughing all the way to the bank. Those that bought my copies for $40 can do the same.
Still have a blank coming.

This is one that I was prepared for, as I had my hunches early on. But, it’s one that maybe bit me in the ass a bit for being early. I sold on the upswing, but you never know how far these will go.

I have to say, the past 6 months in this hobby has changed my outlook on the hobby. The post-covid crash was looking bleak. And while those first appearance spec books are still in the toilet, I’m far more optimistic about the direction we’re now in.
It feels like while Marvel can’t get out of their own way, DC and Image have forged ahead with QUALITY being the driver. The books that are hot now are the good books. Not necessarily first appearances. Abs Bats, Assorted Crises, Ghost Machine, Nightwing, Dorc (art it great, idea is great, story TBD)… I feel like quality is now being rewarded and encouraged by collectors. Good art. Good covers. Good stories.
Whenever you’re ready, Marvel, give it a try.

whom ever is in charge of comics at marvel needs fired, every time they get a book with hype they cancel it, strange academy, tosin books. they were all selling and they just cut them off.

I also wonder how much of this is spill over/cross over from TCG players. That market was pretty hot all 2025…and I think more and more comicsshops are diversifying…and smaller shoes are now more of a blend of cards and comics.
I have no hard evidence…I just know cards tend to move at a pace we’re starting to see some modern books now imitate…meanwhile pre 2000 books are pretty stagnant…stablized, but stagnant (price wise).
My D’Orc sales were a net $260 profit. However, I am still really disappointed in the story. I had every attention of holding some of these if the story had met my expectations. Oh well!

Image Press release already bragging the 2nd printing for D’Orc has now surpassed the 25k mark…

Is the blank just white cardstock wrapped around a complete book (can be “converted” to cover A if removed)?
