Grabbed one. Plus the 1:10 variant for Feral 22 they had for cover price. A copy of the Rocketeer for $1.79 and the signed Absolute Batman Midtown Variant.

At the last con I did (I only do one a year), I specifically had two young ladies (2 separate occasions) ask me about this book.
I actually had some. Sold them for far less than this ($25) but still a win, they were very excited, and I have more.
Definitely has a good following

The creator is building out a “TECC” universe and probably will be seeding characters from within the Lost Fantasy title to create new titles/minis.
#9 variant probably like 2% of the #1 main cover print run. Not surprising for later issue variants to move and a #1 never trend.
I don’t think it’s the character. I think it’s the fact it was the artist’s first cover. Possibly, first published comic work. There was a mention of it during FOC on covrprice i believe.

Article I just read mentioned that Absolute Batman #20 has 103 variant covers…94 retailer exclusives, 8 open-order, 1 ratio…103 covers for one issue, make it stop
