It hadn’t dawned on me that my LCS, who typically carries a lot of Image and indie, hasn’t had shelf copies of Savage Dragon in years. Somehow I never noticed.
I would imagine Savage Dragon is seriously low printed compared to other Image books but it keeps trucking along mostly because Larsen keeps doing it and the occasional controversy like this helps.

That is my impression too. I had stopped buying Savage Dragon a very long time ago. I think the current shock publicity may only lead to a temporary bump (if any) after-the-fact. I don’t believe retailers were aware of the contents of issue #280.

Yes, it’s pretty raunchy. The last page (full panel art) of A and C covers show a female character on the receiving end of a foursome. Body parts are hidden (but otherwise engaged). Cover B version adds fluids…an absurd amount…even impacting the room walls. I had flashbacks to “that scene” in The Happytime Murders movie. I really think this issue should have been polybagged.
