Modern Comics Heating Up (2026 Edition) šŸ”„

I was kinda waiting for this. And the FCbD to pop

Selling Ben 10 #1 A all weekend. I found a stack of them and have been bleeding them out to people. Only thing selling for me right now.

I’d been looking for that 1st app Cartoon Network for years… just waiting for a good price to grab. But it kept creeping up up up up slowly over time.
As of this year, that ship sailed now for me unfortunately. I aint paying that kind of money and watch it go down

I literally had one sell just a day or two ago for 7.99. Ouchhh

Nice. I think I got a few from MCS still coming. They took forever to sell out so I’d add one when they’d let me…like once a week.

I’ve got a blank cover coming

Can we get the actual sold price, or is this it?

Seems a bit ludicrous.

A lot of sales of the afterlife series too. But prices steady.

OK. What is selling for you guys at the moment? The summer slow-down is in full effect for me. Nothing seems to be moving at all right now.

Mostly the occasional beefcake. It’s definitely slower.

I’ve been REALLY bad about listing new books I’ve acquired in the past month, or else I’d be doing better.

5 sales in the month of July. Here are my most recent two. Shocker…Gambit/Rogue and Beefcake…my bread and butter for the past 12 months.

I’ve actually been buying on eBay more than selling lately…PC stuff…a book will show up and I’ll put a low bid or offed and forget about it….then I get a notice I won! Good deals out there right now

Been selling Ben 10 #1 A covers for $15 as I get them. I list two at a time because I know a shop that has them deep. I sell them, go but them, ship them, and then list two more. Rinse repeat. Easy money at the moment.

Only 5 sales this month. June was slower, too, but better than July. In May, I had 26 sales.

Slow couple of months. Last two sales are Rogue #1 - the gold foil solo series book which wasn’t expecting to sell but did and a McFarlane Spiderman #325, neither was a real high sale but keeps things moving.

Definitely the typical summer slow down occurring for me. Normal stuff moving like Rogue/Gambit, Red Hood and Nightwing - with DC outselling Marvel again for every month this year.

Surprise has been selling a couple Conan and G.I. Joe books.

Sold 3 DC Connects #51 for $40, $50 and $65

No summer slowdown for me, the only thing that’s slowing me down is that I haven’t been listing books regularly (on vacation and other priorities this month) otherwise I’ll be moving a lot more inventory. 23 sales so far moving 44 books. Some highlights and some books that has been sitting for a while that moved.

At one of my sources I picked up a giant stack of Life is Strange comics for $1 each (CAD). I finally listed them yesterday and this sold right away. Had it listed for $59.99 and accepted the $45 offer. This alone pays for the entire stack of Life is Strange books that I picked up. I’m getting a lot of views and interest on the other Life is Strange listings. I have some that has no other listings on ebay so I’m having a difficult time deciding how to price them.

Listed this a couple of days ago and sold. Cannot keep Absolute books in stock, I still have 3 copies of this that I’ll be willing to let go. Random issue of Abs Martian Manhunter. This series is an instant sellout for me. I have sold multiple sets of issues 1-7 for about $130-150 each. It has since taken another bump selling much higher now. Story of my life on ebay but still happy with the profits. Got these very cheaply, cover price and a small stash for $1 at my source.

Same deal with these. I bought a giant stack of Stranger Things and Sonic books for $1 and have been slowly moving them. These are the books that I’ve been looking for when I can find them cheap. Basically when all the hot 10 books are dried up, I’m looking for things that other people aren’t looking for and that I know sells. I have sold a ton of Stranger Things books, Sonics as well as RWBY. I still have a couple hundred Sonic books that I will eventually get to listing but not in a hurry. Already sold the big money keys already to lock in profits.

I mentioned before that the Werewolf by Night 32 fax is a constant seller for me. I keep finding them in the wild cheap and has always sold for me. I’ve gone through at least 15 copies selling them in the $15-20 range.

More Sonic books that people aren’t looking for but I know that they sell.

So none of these are Hot 10 books but books that I pick up that I know sells. The rest of my sales this month includes a lot of beefcakes and also random books that I’ve bought cheap for $1 that has been sitting for a while that moved. I haven’t been doing the Wednesday warrior thing as much this month as I’ve been busy. I will be ramping up my listing soon when I have more time. I want to start listing books on a more regular schedule as I want to move inventory (too much stuff).

Absolute Batman books are moving as fast as I can list them following the pricing trends. I’m starting to hold back and see if it has more legs once we get more news about the show. I’ve already made quite a bit on those books so I’m happy to wait at this point.
