One of the few I had left sold today.
Yeah, I typically have to travel to find anything in that ballpark now.
I have wiped out my area locally. Havenāt found much luck on the road.
Pretty much all of the earlier David Talaski Batgirl standard cover A editions (#1 to 6 and #9 to 12) are £12/$15+ comics now
I noticed MCS pretty much lists them all for $20. Where did that come from?
All credit to Mercenaut & his Hot Books videos (which imo are really good. One of the very few YouTubers I follow).
He and his cohorts know their stuff. Thank you to them . I have this but didnāt realize it was doing well.
The second book is selling well for some silly reason I didnāt even feel like putting the effort in to read but, here we are. I feel like this was specced on before?
It looks like that has been selling over cover for quite a while now. Meanwhile Covrprice still shows it selling at coverpriceā¦
Perhaps their value algorithm went on vacation for the summer⦠![]()
Their value algorithm is on permanent vacation, its horrible. Love the collection part of CovrPrice and the content, but the valuation is just plain silly.
Agreed, and when I used to find issues I reported them. I soon realized it would be a full time job and all Iād get is a high level explaination how the algorithm āworksā and not any real commitment to fix the issues. Comics drop to zero value, someone sells a comic for well under FMV and all of a sudden thatās the new price, comics stop getting price updates for some reason.
Maybe they start running out of API calls to 3rd party sites that sell and hold such data⦠teeheeā¦
I accidentally bought 2nd printings of that book thinking they were first printsā¦ā¦
Awh dude Iāve done that. Condolences. Maybe those will take flight. Ya never know.
I did it with some Absolute Batman books. Damn tiny writing.
Just in case if anyone here doesnāt already know this. If you look at the 5 digit number on the top right hand corner of the barcode it will tell you the issue number, the variant cover, and the printing.
So a first issue with cover A and first print would be ā001ā ā1ā and ā1ā. The first 3 numbers 001 is the issue number, the 4th digit is the cover variant (1 for A, 2 for B, etc) and the last digit is for the printing (1 first print, 2 2nd print etc)
So for example if you see 00122, it means itās issue 1, cover B and second print.
I always look for a 1 for the last digit if Iām looking for a first print.
Yeah but the numbers on the absolute are so small and almost unreadable.
Yep. Did it wit abs sup 11. Smh
