All over? Sounds like NOW is the time to sell
Yes, sell now. Sell Mortimer, Sell!
It’s a Heavy Metal book that’s a regurgitation of Peter Pan, it’ll be dead in a few weeks or month I think.
I have a few copies, going to sell 1 or 2 while it’s hot. I don’t want to be in a rush to sell all, I’ve read it and it’s quite good in a nice package. It’s a beautiful book.
Holding a few just in case if it has Nottingham potential.
All over for people who wants to buy cheap copies
So I put Never Never 1 in my cart Tuesday night (My Comic Shop). Looked today and it’s sold out but I still have it in my cart…
So I checked out. And it Went through! We’ll see what happens…
Chasing Dragons never heated up, but it also had interesting art with nice production values. I’m impressed with what Heavy Metal is putting out, just wish their shipping was up to par when buying direct.
I was at the biggest shop at the downtown core in my city yesterday and they did not have a copy of Never Never. This shop orders stacks of almost everything, had ordered many copies of Nottingham at release. Was there 15mins after open and didn’t see any. Thankfully I had it in my pull at this and another shop.
I was wrong about Nottingham and missed out on Stray Dogs. Had I had those I would’ve flipped them immediately at $15. Peter Pan has a large fanbase so it might have legs, holding a few just in case. If it doesn’t PAN out, I will sell them later on.
oh man…ohhhhh man…great dad joke!
I got a million of them
I got 2 copies of Never Never. Same I did for Nottingham going to sell 1 soon as it arrives and hold the other. After thinking I figured this would follow in the vein of Nottingham and be pricey first couple issues before most caught on. Glad to see the book doing well.
Nice House on the Lake made that list as well. I love seeing that book continue to do well, get hype, and it’s slow burn. I think it will continue to do very well.
It’s a dark twist version. “Peter Pan” is the big bad in this series, much like “Robin Hood” was the villain in Nottingham. Haven’t read Nottingham so don’t know if he stays the villain. Now that I think about it, there’s a lot of similarities from the two books.
I read somewhere that Tynion said there will be season 2 after this 12 issue run if the series does good numbers. Obviously we know now that this series is blowing numbers out of the water and everyone is giving this rave reviews. Issue 2 dropped and it’s equally as good.
IMO this series would translate well as a tv series property. Friends trapped inside a strange house with the world ending around them. Add in a mystery and supernatural element and the masses would eat this up as a tv series, something like the Prisoner.
I’ve stopped selling my copies and have been looking around trying to pick more up. If this ever gets optioned, it’s all she wrote.
Kinda mad I didnt grab the NHOTL 2nd print 1:25. Definitely getting the 1:25 of 3rd print. I wonder what the cap is going to be on additional prints for issue 1
Tynion just tweeted today that there’s good news coming up. I wonder if this might be it.
My bet is on Wynd - his last newsletter indicated he was taking meetings on it.
Sold all my Momoko Wynd covers. I think I just have a couple A prints if that.
Just sold Never Never 1 @ $25.90, moving my remaining copies to around $30. Prices include s/h.
Was Nottingham 1 like this right out of the gate? I can’t recall, seemed like it took a few weeks.
