There’s websites people use to check appearances. But they aren’t always fully 100%.
Likely someone found him in the annual. Ran it on said database site, saw no other appearances then the Mags and posted it. Key prob checked same site, saw nothing, ran it. Then got messages saying nope it’s SWA 14, then ran the correction about 10 minutes later as an alert.
It was only up for 10 minutes so it “shouldn’t” be too widespread. But yes you know some unscrupulous sellers will try to profit.
Especially with SW, it’s very murky. “First apps” keep changing as people find them in earlier books. It’s not as easy to research without the physical books.
Look at the Revan debate that took years to come to light he was even in the books, and it’s still debated.
That’s why DWooky is a great resource to use.
At least 6 copies sold on eBay. So that says something. Six people who can’t buy the correct comic now that they sent out wrong info again.

Obi was born in 57 bby and dies in 0 BBY.
Kallus was born around 44 bby.
The timeline matches up fine.

It certainly helps to properly vet your sources. Nobody should be blindly trusting these apps and sites who have ulterior motives that do not include making money for strangers. 
. If they wanted you to have more money in your pocket, they wouldn’t charge you money to use their app. Jus’ sayin’.

Man, key collector makes me a TON of loot. You guys are just doing it wrong or more likely just super mad about the app existing at all. Buy or bin dive for every book they list, sell it immediately and pay for your hobby.

I can’t speak on behalf of everyone here but I like selling hot books based on sound legit facts and or information. Yes, buyers should do their own homework but when a “paid” app pushes out wrong info, they should be held accountable. If I was a subscriber and I bought a book at premium only for them retract and claim it was in error, I’d hold them accountable… one day one of those sue happy people with a lot of extra cash lying around is going to sue them…

I would never ever ever ever ever ever purchase anything KC pushes after 2 minutes from the push. (Is that enough “never evers”…lol).
When they push and you’re actually able to see the push within a minute that’s when you buy every cheap copy you can get your hands on.
It’s all about who is watching and quickest to pull the cheap buys.
I’ve made this very simple for my business model in relation to KC

I use Key to sell books, not to buy, I am not mad at all. Every tool has a use, I don’t use a hammer to open a bottle.
