That’s cold. These facsimile copies of Uf4 even feel like uf4 first print in your hands. Yeesh.

It’s pretty easy to tell the bottom left box will be all the way to the left on the Facsimile there will be a gap on the 1st print then the box. Also most first prints will say direct edition in that box and have a different upc #. Not so easy if you don’t know comics though.

That ScottW was listing for $250 and didn’t mention it was the reprint. I sent him a message warning him he could face a return and Mercari’s wrath so he took it down and reposted it at $100 with the truth. Still, sleazy. I won’t ever buy from him there.

Never sold on Mercari, but is it easy for a buyer to return a book based on misleading info ? On Ebay, I guess it would be a hit or miss, but the dreaded ‘Not as described’ excuse could be used, to return the book.
I usually bold the ‘facsimile’ or ‘reprint’ in red and larger font to draw attention, both in the title and description.
Dont these sellers worry about buyers returning their book and them (sellers) losing return postage in addition to a bad rep ? Is it different on Mercari ?
You don’t get charged for return shipping, buyers can easily return anything pretty much within 24hrs so got to block all the comic Karen’s along the way.

I sell $800-$1500 a week on mercari only limit is you can’t list things over $2000

When people make offers they have to put their money up so there’s no accepting best offers and not getting paid

is that mostly cheaper books or high dollar books
My average sale is around $75 I don’t usually list anything below $20 it’s not worth my time or packing materials to make a couple dollars per sale.

A lot of people list cheap junk but there’s also a good selection of keys you would find below $2000

The reason Mercari is good is you can sell there without a bank account you can’t move the money or anything but you can use it on the site to buy stuff. So some people pay a little higher than other places because their money is stuck there and they also offer a lot of coupons monthly so things sell for a little more on Mercari.
