There’s plenty of supply the cover has been reprinted 3 times, and the original reason people wanted it was because it was supposedly low printed.

There’s only a handful of listings of slabbed and none are 9.8. The only sold 9.8 is the one pointed out in the past 60 days or so. I’d say again, print runs don’t matter, there’s apparent demand for slabbed high grade that people are willing to dish out money for. Supply for raws, sure, plenty but people buy the slab and not the books nowadays.

Right. Just because a cover has been reprinted doesn’t make the original worthless, either. Look at every facsimile ever for instance. No one is selling this book in a 9.8 slab. It doesn’t matter if there are 10k of them if you can’t buy one. It’s obviously worth that because someone just paid for it and it isn’t like it’s a book that just got added to a list or highlighted somewhere. That’s just a natural market value sale right there.
People still getting shocked and floored to see rare JSC 9.8 slabs selling for big dollars… what a world.
You sure do know a lot about what other people want and why they buy things. That’s a gift right there.
Comes with selling and buying comics for 30 years. So when this book came out I was actually on the internet reading why people wanted it when it was $100 book. The reasons this book took off just don’t apply today when a comic collector is bombarded by incentives and low print exclusives on a daily basis. If this book came out today it would be a $50 book.

Siege #3 JSC deserves every penny it goes for because it is extremely rare and had one of the most bizarre qualifiers for a shop to get a copy.
Maybe but hard to say, since it didn’t come out today but rather then. But in today’s current demand for JSC ratio variants today, there’s not as much demand. But that’s the very reason it likely is in demand, the ratio’s from just a few years back have drastically changed from today’s numbers and demands.
And I think everyone here is a bigger fan of JSC than I am… I like his non MJ stuff but I don’t seek out any of this stuff.
There are cheaper ones available from the looks of it.
Are you implying that markets, in general, are driven by FOMO? Do you not think that anyone ever has made an investment based off of data?
And if the seller bought his product at retail, how is that fomo? New books come out every week, at cover price. Buying books on release day is the heart of this hobby, and buying books on release day is not FOMO.
Your Pidgeon hole assessment of the hobby is wholly off beat, imo.

Thanks for the tip on the Magik cover for Strange Academy. Book was a tough find in my area and I had only the A cover originally pulled.

This book is moving all copies off eBay true first appearance of Hida Haraka Sakura Spider. Deadpool Samurai Vol2 Japanese version is the first appearance there is an English version set to release next year so make sure you get the Japanese one. Once the copies dry up good luck finding it.
