I thought the problem with insider trading is it turns away investors if they know they are competing with insiders. I guess that can cost people their jobs, but not directly.

It was a well received series at the time. I’m sure there is quite a bit of nostalgia at play for many who had them graded and put together a registry set.
Side note: The registry drives some crazy sales for 9.8 books with low census numbers that are relatively hard to find 9.8 candidates of raw. Usually supply catches up with demand (see Wolverine #44 2nd Print), but it’s a real thing.
As for people with stacks of these raw, the book was released when the industry was strong. If you buy enough collections from people, you are going to find multiples of books like this and they will pile up. I had 200 copies of Darkhawk #1 at one point because of this.

Yeah. Surprising under ordered? But no new character. I intended in placing an order with my shop but forgot.
