What’s the dealio with ASM 88? I’m literally not buying any as I’m buying Aphra and Miles comics. Is it villain spec?

I’m starting to question why I’m even going to brick and mortar comic shops at all. Out of all the shops in my area there’s only 1 shop that I really like and that’s because of the staff working there. I would tell them to put some hot books on my pull and they would do it for me. That’s how I’m getting some of these hot books. However if some book heats up to nuclear levels like for example BRZKRR 1 2nd print when it went up to over $150 before release day, the shop owner will dig through the pull boxes and pull out all copies claiming “shortages” and let the staff deal with the fallout from the customers LOL.

LOL same here. Got zero interest with this and I will be picking up exactly zero copies. If it’s going for crazy prices and I happen to find a copy on the shelf sure I’ll pick it up for a quick flip. Otherwise I’m not playing this game, perfectly fine with not picking this up.

I place them under the same category as Westfield…proceed with low expectations.
9.8 copies.
It’s rare I get a 9.8 online anymore. If I really want a 9.8 potential I go to the shop and usually can find one if there are 3-4 on the rack.

Some massive storms hitting the East and Midwest essentially from tonight till next Friday…I would expect to see some varied shipping impacts. Next Wednesday may be inconsistent for many.

I go to the LCS to dig through their dollar boxes and new arrivals. Sometimes I catch a hot book on their display or new backstock. But I patronize and spend more at the ones I like (good customer service, friendly, etc), and do spend substantially more online.
Got my DUEL #1 order today. All the books were damaged with color breaking spice tics in the same spot front cover, indents on the back of cover. They shipped in a USPS floppy envelope and put the books in a vanilla floppy yellow envelope inside of the USPS envelope. All had bag/boards but they didn’t ship in a Gemini.
Buddy just pm’d me that his order was the same> all damaged in the same spot front/back.
