I stand by my statement that the Emperor has no clothes - we are just seeing speculators sell to FOMO speculators all on the basis of ONE article from ONE website that says the writer has plans for this new character in his arc.
Considering the author changes and reboots Black Panther every 2 years and the fact that the majority of new characters introduced go nowhere, spending $350 on hopes that this is the “next Miles” when you can buy 3 UF4 2nd prints of the ACTUAL Miles for the same money is ludicrous.
If you’ve got one and can sell it, by all means, get that paper … but I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this to anyone.
i had alot of copies ordered, but stores are being shady and had alot of my copies cancelled. even pre foc copies got cut
I can’t believe shops do that to their customers for a quick profit…just blows my mind.

They do. Any shop that cancels my pre-foc orders that I already paid for will be the last time I do business with them. Unless it’s a legitimate reason like Bad Idea pulling some allocation shenanigans then I’ll let it go, otherwise I’m out.
I hate that. I buy from A Place in Space online in the UK as they alway honor a buy.Forbidden Planet are pretty good at honoring early purchases too. But I have other EBAY shops I buy from thinking, I bet this gets cancelled!
I set up an account with 4 Canadian online shops this week. All my orders have been pre-sales before foc. Any of them pull shenanigans come release day I’m out.
Never has their been a more apt name for a website than Bleeding Stool. That article was pure crap.
I feel in the long run this hurts the industry so much. There’s lots of new collectors coming into the market that doesn’t know a thing about the industry. If they come in and spend all their money on these books that a website is pumping up just trying to get clicks by sensationalizing it, they’re going to feel like they got burned when the vast majority of these hot “specs” don’t go anywhere.
It’s just like the stock market where people go in without doing their research and lose their asses. It’s their own fault.
Yeah Gentle is on the 1:25 but some people mistake that for Tossin. New X-Men Vol 2 #32 is his first appearance, its also a pretty great run
Oh absolutely, but at the same time it’s kind of daunting for someone new trying to get into this hobby and don’t know where to go. I feel these comic news websites have a responsibility to put out actual news and well thought out content.

I agree with that, but you hope that eventually they lose their credibility…just like all these “buy this penny stock now it’s about to blow up!”, same concept.
Some people learn the hard way, some do research. I can tell you I’ve learned the hard way a few times but I chalk it up to stupidity and move on

I guess I’ll buy the 3 copies I’ve seen for $100 if people are paying that.
But I just know by the time I’ll get them that 2nd print will be out and this will be a $50 book.
And they’ll be riddled with spine ticks.
