Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 1)

It’s a good line. We should all use it.

BP3 should be listed as the next Kilometer Morales – because America will never adopt it

I guess some people are trying to hype up Avengers 53 next week. 1st appearance of “Red Panther”:rofl::rofl:

I’m only buying the black history cover which is pretty good. It’s already selling above cvr.

A raw copy of Venom Lethal Protector 1 Black Error Variant Newsstand sold for $9,900.
Original asking was $20K.

Seller listed another copy now for $15K.

Let’s see if that one sells also

Why sell it for 50% off…

cause you can make them with a hair dryer

Great question.

Maybe seller felt that it was a ‘fair offer’ or has to sell them for other reasons? :man_shrugging:

GPA shows last 9.8 Black Cover/Printing Error sold in November $6989.
BUT I don’t think these are Newsstand copies.

Update a newsstand version did sell at HA in 2018 for $9600

If you got the time and a steady hand you can scrape the foil and make a black or white error, black being the red foil white being the gold foil.

Oh wow!

That’s some craziness but when it involves big money anything is possible

CGC would be able to tell.

I wonder how much the people who write names on rice at the carnival would charge? Probably less than $100 a book.

I might find a sh!tty copy, and try it out. Why not.

I don’t think folks are touting it as a 1st appearance (at least from what I’ve seen), but rather just sort of an oddity, additional Cad Bane item.

For me, that was really the reason I sought it out. More from a completist standpoint. Akin to the reason I collect old Sears Wish books, store ads, or distribution catalogs from Kenner that feature Star Wars toys.

It makes for a fun, oddball conversation piece when I’m talking toy and comic displays with visitors.

Lots of Cad bane fans that just like anything associated with him.
