As the case with some other genres of collectibles, these Darth Vader #20s are an item that are a very easy sell across the spectrum.
I mentioned this book simply as a heads up in our 501st forums and people were excited about it.
I’m not saying folks are going to pay through the nose for it, but I guarantee if I put up a stack at my toy display for $10-$15 depending on how this shakes out, I’d sell every copy.
I call it the elephant ear principle. I love me some elephant ears at the fair. It’s a special treat. If they are priced fairly we all get one & the booth makes $10-15 off our family for .50 worth of batter, grease, and cinnamon/sugar.
They get greedy and try to pull that $7 apiece crap we have no problem doing without & they make nothing.
That’s how I often view buying/selling comics these days.
Local shop has a stack of Spidey #88 on the rack priced at $15 apiece… doesn’t look like a single copy has sold since Wednesday… elephant ear principle at play!
