eBay Item Bid History

Look at the shill bids for this irredeemable 1 emerald var

While I never said it would be crazy ordered, I figured it would be. I guess I thought it was common sense it would be massively ordered because…Star Wars. I am very happy I was wrong.

High Republic #1 had high order numbers.

It was, but nowhere near the crazy numbers we saw for the Age of Empire/Rebellion era Star Wars series #1s. At least, it sure didn’t seem that way.

still waiting for a hra #1 comicspro to show up on ebay, interested to see what it would bring

Timeless #1 (3rd Ptg Buckingham Variant)

LMAO. Those books dint have 200k orders…let alone 100k orders.

Did I say that?

I literally just quoted you…saying that…c’mon

I’ve been preaching for people to buy and hold for the long term since day 1…

Saying that it was printing 200K or 100k? Nope. I think you are looking for a confrontation where there is none to be had.

I figured the book would have had 500K - 1M.

Whats the correlation between Google searches and Star Wars fans who know about the High Republic? I know about both the Mandalorian and THR, yet I have never used Google to search for either. :man_shrugging:

A pump and dump is still a pump and dump even if everyone here owns the books and is excited.

Jim getting tardy speculators to buy books, imo, doesn’t represent an actual interest in the book from the market perspective.

Agree. This is all sheep following an online huckster.

I don’t get the negativity with this guy. Watched his video last night (and another last week). Seems like a good dude who has been doing this for some time. He also seems to be a reader and collector (almost rare nowadays).

Does he sell comics? I don’t know and don’t care.

I mean, everyone here does!

I assume he bought 200 copies of HRA #2 from Diamond when they were still in stock 2 weeks ago and is selling them.

I will say this, for the first time ever, i set up at a show this last weekend. Mainly toys, but a few comics I have extras of. Everything was priced very fair (imo)…not a single Star Wars comic sold with the exception of that JTC Negative space Luke book (thank goodness—ugly ole book).
Not a single High Republic comic sold (and again, nothing was price remotely in the realm of solds on ebay as of now).

It was an interesting experience, doubt I would ever do it again (although I did very well). I’ll likely write up a full report out on the whole process from a rookie seller perspective.

@Mudable I always watched and greatly enjoyed his videos, but recently, it just feels like he is sort of working alongside a few of the other folks and sort of fanning the fire on things that don’t necessarily need hyped. I don’t know…I guess if I wasn’t seeing things like “JimsComics pick of the week” on Key collector I’d feel better about it. Just seems like a slightly different shift and vibe than a simple report out on cool comic books and things to check out which it used to be.

I don’t really hate on him, it’s just become yet another media hype train where it used to be just kind of a downhome, refreshing discussion on the books and hobby.
