Ultimate Comics: Ultimates 9. Sorry.
That’s better.
You can block best offer on Mercari. Just turn the option off. Other option is to price higher and set lowest best offer as the price you will accept.
I sold 2X Deadly Neighborhood Spider-Man on ebay today. Had to drop my price after the asshat purchased them and never paid.
Sold new Lady Death B cover from a few weeks back. I sell the hell out of lady death b covers.
Found 2 at my LCS today, along with Uktimate Doom 4 (which I guess is kind of an origin of the maker sort of as this is where his face is scared…?).
Like issue 9 cover though: glad I found 2.
Glad I could help!
These could be fake. Who pays $12.55 for a non-graded book in the US?
I’ve noticed many auctions list a single comic as being 2 lbs shipping…could also be put towards signature confirmation and/or registered mail. Need to see the description.
There was one guy posting a book I wanted for $10 plus $15 shipping. I tried to communicate with them to see if they’d be willing to lower the shipping (the book wasn’t worth $25) and the response was “I will combine shipping if you order multiple items.”
Some are just clueless.
I found the book a few months later for $4 in a shop while on travel.
It’s too easy to manipulate sales. I like to see a number of sales before I make judgment either way. This one seems fishy. But, I could very well be wrong
I usually charge $10 for USPS Priority Mail. It has $100 insurance included. If someone’s using the prepaid boxes it’s actually more expensive.
I typically charge $6 for shipping a single book in a Gemini USPS first class. $15 is nuts.
Legal sized flat rate envelopes work well for more books, as you can fit a Gemini inside the envelope.
I buy and have bought so much that I recycle the good incoming stuff for outgoing books. I have to buy tape is all.
I did that for awhile but I eventually ran out of mailers even while still buying
I won’t run out unless a I make a few trips to the dump to recycle them.
Shipping prices have having been seeing increases. I sold book the other day and I think the shipping was 12.55 for I think 14oz and I was surprised at that, Now that I saw that I will probably switch over everything to legal flat rate envelopes because they are cheaper.
Definitely if you are shipping coast to coast, shipping rates are pretty high. If you ship within your region generally USPS is pretty reasonable. For example, I’m on the east coast and shipping about 12-14 oz up and down the east coast is about 5-6 dollars. Packaging I usually bag and board the books, put them together in a bag, sandwich them with painter’s tape and cardboard and then into a gemini mailer. Fits right into my local usps relay mailbox. However, if I ship to California which seems to be where most of my buyers are shipping for the same 12-14oz can be 12-13 dollars. One of the benefits of selling on ebay, the shipping rates compared to USPS retail is substantially less since ebay has a group discount.
eBay’s discounts are similar to Pirateship.com.
I buy postage from PS for personal shipment now.
What I haven’t attempted yet is using priateship for Mercari.
I hate Mercari’s system. Even if I can ship for under 12 oz, they still charge the buyer the price equivalent to 16 oz and no discount like eBay or pirate ship.
But I believe if you don’t use their shipment they will not stand with the seller if something goes wrong.
I find it so difficult to compete with eBay prices because of this on mercari. especially less expensive books where a few $’s is the difference between selling and sitting.
Prepaid flat rate priority boxes cost more than just getting a box and doing priority.
