Nope, cause this only seems to happen when a book goes hot before it’s actually released.

Ha. I have had so many orders for hot books canceled by Unknown in the past I don’t bother ordering from them.

It’s a reason I never shop at Austin Books. They pulled the same thing over Middleton’s Batgirl #23 cover… “We got shorted and got none in stock”… a week or two goes by and a customer saw a stack of them through the window in the back… But you know, they always had a copy up on the wall with the sticker… “Recently Acquired” at inflated market prices.

I’m curious to see what my local shops do with Spidey #7 tomorrow. Hopefully just some “limit 1 per person,” and not the “immediately over cover price” route.

I try to follow the ole “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” approach anymore.
Order a few from 4-5 sources and I’ve always ended up with something.
I’ll be interested to see what my shops have them at. I have one in my pull, but every store around me now plays the mark up right out of the gate if it wasn’t on your pulls. (If they are aware of it at least).

Ebay sellers at least have some repercussions for shady activity. Online stores are a last resort for me
If they mark it up they may get stuck with them now that the 2nd prints are coming…
I order 3 copies from 4 different soureces…if i get half then im happy.

Plenty of copies on the shelves but no secret variant.
The other covers are selling well too. I grabbed 3x secret and 1x regular at my lcs.
How does the condition look?
Seeing some posted as VF/NM and NM- on eBay.
Grabbed a secret and one A copy. Only got the secret variant because I ordered it. None on shelves. A handful of A left. Condition for my copies are probably 9.6. With a press to get some of the Marvel paper waviness out, maybe a 9.8.
I’ll wait 2 months and then pick it up for $7. God speed to you all.

Ebay being flooded with copies speaks for itself.
Seems like people are holding. There is only 40 active listings on eBay. That’s a real low number for a book selling like this one. Usually, it’s 200 + listings.

People sell some to cover costs

But how many sold? Is the number (40) just growing, or is it being “replenished” at the same rate it sells?
I don’t have a choice…I won’t have access to my copies for a while.
