I did not pre-order copies. But had a good feeling since pretty much every “Ultinate Spider-Man #1” has done well.
I kind of looked at it like the Batman/Detective/Action reboots. The first reboot everyone was excited and they commanded a premium for a little while. But the second reboot didn’t have the same excitement.
So I knew it’d be popular as an interesting spin on the character (It was my FOC pick of the week) but did not expect lightning in a bottle.
“…not sure if these kids will be Ben and May Parker, but they are the spec play here, if there is one.”
My exact words. I was thinking long term, not short term.

Demon Days X-Men #1?? I don’t recall that book being hot at all…
of course, FOC is before the 2nd print comes out…
but Im going to assume the print run will be much bigger than the 2nd. Damn ratios… and store variant guys will most likely jump on this.

Even though I don’t mess with store variants I am very tempted to get a couple of the US 1 Unknown Variants off eBay. They are $8.10 each, buy 3 get one free, and free shipping. That works out to near cover price. It has the new Green Goblin on the cover. I won’t order from their store but have grabbed a couple of their variants off eBay before.
My allotment for store variants is 2 per year. lol (knowing full well I just tossed money in the sewer)
