Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 1)

I’ve gotten those SiKtC and thank you a
At my LCS before. They had only one copy of the regular A cover sadly today…arrived at opening.

Oh well!

Well I’m assuming the rationale is with 40 exclusives, the ratios will be over saturated but the one per stores won’t change in quantity.

The ratios seem to be doing ok too though.

I’ve grabbed 1 per store SIKTC issues and other various titles at my LCS for cover price, if it’s the same for this I’ll grab it.

I’ll never understand people going crazy over a simple and poorly written series. SIKTC Baffles me. Especially later issues. I like most of Tynions writing but this series is a true bore to me.

Yeah. Just think about the Twilight Novels that made all those movies… I think the novels have sold over 100 million copies so far. Baffles me. I read like one paragraph from one of them (twilight novel as my wife read the first one) and I could tell it was complete and utter garbage. I guess some people love simple and poorly written stuff… to each their own I suppose.

I wouldn’t assume the people paying big money for Siktc ratios, #1, exclusives, etc…are reading the book.

No one actually reads siktc people just like her bandanna mask which Toga and Conan wore before her and that sells books + fomo=siktc

I had every intention on buying issue #16, but I just lost interest in the series.

I’m staying on the DoT train, but even the issue that came out today was a bit exhausting with all of the rambling. At least the Totoro homage cover actually goes with the story.

People love popcorn media. Just look at Michael Bay’s films. They are box office hits with the general public.

Most often than not, the easiest digestible material gets popular.

Yup… It’s the American way now I think. Americans don’t even want to think about what they’re watching or reading…

Not everything has to be some super deep dramatic metaphor on the human soul to be interesting or entertaining.

LOL you old guys are full of crap. Lots of people actually read SIKTC.

Oh I know but sometimes it’s just baffling to read the source material and then go… “really? this has sold how many copies?”

Seriously, go read Twilight and do point out where there’s actual “great writing” within it cause maybe I need to get learnt or something…

SIKTC might be poor writing… but judging what other people like based on your personal preference is poor character…

Wow, now I gotta go dig my stack out.

every one assumes fsww #1 had a big print run but besides 10k team variant there were no store variants or incentives to drive up print run.
