hahah of course there will be 6th DoT. There will be a 10th printing with one of two secret covers. SIKTC is already on its 8th. If either of these properties have a decent tv show or series of movies ever attached to them who knows how many prints there will be. Once & Future has an 8th printing that sells for $200+ i wouldnt get out of the game anytime soon my friend. I, however, did stop buying raw signed comics, i find it harder to sell- and i would rather have a slabbed signed copy if I am not going to witness the signature myself
I went heavy on Nice House on the Lake #1 A cover. Bought 3 copies.
Same, I have a whopping 2 copies on my tfaw preorders.
Though I will admit after reading it I’m much more interested in it then I was before. I thought it was going to be a generic serial killer type comic, pleasently surprised.
Cbcs has signature verification, and now verified sig and witness Sig’s are both yellow labels there. This is a good thing and was needed, for example all those years of Stan Lee signings - if you’d want them to cgc they wouldn’t be yellow labels when those are easy verifiable signatures, with cbcs it allows true grading of comics like that.
yea i know, and i actually really like CBCS as both a service and as a product, i like the slabs! However there market presence is overshadowed by CGC, which always fetches a higher price. Thanks, but no thanks!
So I’ve been thinking about why the sudden surge in interest with Nice House on the Lake. It appears that the reviews of the issue has been excellent, not just from the usual spec community like ComicTom but also from non spec comic review sites as well. Screenrant calls it a horror masterpiece, I’m not sure about that just yet but it’s quite good.

Another thing it’s got going for it is that it’s a cool concept that would translate well to a TV show or movie. Friends trapped in a mysterious house with the world coming to an end outside. Add in a little supernatural element and horror fans would eat this up. Kind of like the Prisoner mixed in with Walking Dead survivor horror. It makes sense that after a few days when the reviews comes in a flood of people are buying it up because of the good reviews and/or speculators picking up a few more copies because this series has promise.
sure all valid points. and the fact that its JT4, who seems to ink deals for all the recent properties he has created, its a never ending feedback loop between the media, industry heads and specs all pumping up the latest property- dont get me wrong, its a great read and i personally cant wait till #2, but this is def all inflated and this bubble will pop soon enough. I just saw the 1:25 go for nearly $70 at auction (not including s.h)-- with all the store incentives, that are not selling as keen save for the gallagher, there has to be many many ratios available- this is just a case of big lcbs vs little lcbs, meaning that those in the know went heavy and well the others are just in the dark.
but i have a question for the forum and i figured this was good a place as any to ask it since we all tynion here today- i have the opportunity to buy a slabbed graded 9.8 copy of DoT #1 for $150, but another store is offering me the 1:25 DoT for the same price, both 1st prints-- which would you buy? I know the answer is both, but penny for your thots?
That is my tried and true strategy. Sell until my investment is recouped, then sit on the rest…if I have faith in the character.
I’m not sure how things will shake out after a period of time without a stimmy, but I’d get an A cover.
Cheapest place I can find cover A of The Nice House on the Lake #1
Golden Apple Comics

eBay is 12 dollars and up for cover A.
Is Tynion the new spec darling after everyone abandoned the Cates ship?
I’d grab cover A of DoT 9.8
He’s definitely the better writer
Graham Crackers has copies of both Cover A and B for cover price still. Picked one up earlier with a copy of WEB of Spider-Man coming out on Wednesday.
Does anyone know what this Peter Parker The Spectacular Spider-Man #1 Premiere Variant was limited too? Was it a ratio or like a 2 per store type thing?
I think it was 1 per store, but I could be incorrect.
And thank God they pump these trashy dollar bin fodder books because I have made so much coin selling them. LOL
God Country 1 copies moving:
I assume no one saying anything good or bad about sweet tooth after being out for a week, means it sucks and is not worth watching.
