Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 2)

As much as I love a raunchy pun, we’re veering so far off-topic.

Anyways, I got my hands on some more Marvel Rivals variants and they are getting insanely lowball offers and some nice sales. I don’t always get such bad lowballs but these have brought some people out of the woodwork, I guess.

As long as you set the offer bar low, you will get low ball offers. You can get if you don’t ask. Don’t blame them.

I’ll take lowball offers because then I counter with a reasonable offer and half the time they accept it. It’s just odd how they’ve really emerged for this particular variant style.

I might have to dig a few of these out…

I sold my FF28 Rivals variant for $17. I saw sold prices ranging from $23 with free shipping to $17.99 plus shipping.

Almost pays for my entire pull list this week.

MCS never uploaded to my knowledge. They’re trying everything… list at $25 or hold back supply and sell later.

MCS never had extra stock because they had just enough to fill my preorder :grinning:

What does this even mean? They fill thousands of preorders for hundreds of different listings each week and still upload their “rack” copies. This is anomalous behavior that has nothing to do with your preorder.

Picture incoming?

The smiley’s kind of indicate to me it’s just them being sarcastic…

Yes, sarcasm.

I have no idea how many copies MCS ordered.

But if they dont list a new book its either 3 options:

  • they didnt order enough, after filling preorders, to sell on release
  • copies were damaged and waiting on replacements
  • books werent delivered yet

They have done it before

About time they put it on their website…

MCS had these for $45.
Midtown had it for $31.50

$79.99. Massive is Whatnot. Whatnot is spec. They are playing the spec game themselves as publishers. Shady.

Publishers selling books on their own website is always shady. No idea for print runs…

That’s not any different for any book. Exclusives or open orders. Buy what you like…if someone is spec’ing on a book solely due to advertised “print runs” that’s on them if it backfires.

We’re all smarter than that here, I believe, because we communicate about it.

Massive Publishing is a sham. Doubt Lunar or PRH will want them.
