One subscriber got his copy for 25% off cover.
One phone call repeat from #1 drove down and got one for double cover. He seems really excited for the upcoming SpiderMEN title as well so I upped orders and tried to talk him into a box to lock in prices or even get discounts.
One online sale shipped at double cover.
All of that was by noon Wednesday. Basically I bought 9 copies which I estimated was 5 more than I would normally need and I have 5 left right now. Itās okay though since I made enough to pay for
1 at cover =2
1 at 25% off =1.5
2 at double cover =8
so Iāve got a positive cash flow so far and copies left just in case anyone else ever shows up wanting to read or get started. I also took an order for #3 but he only wants the cover in the laundry mat. (He also ordered the Thundercats #2B Chetara cover)
Still nothing but crickets from the Spawn section.
Edge of Spider-verse #1 finally had both standards reserved by a regular for $20 each. Another copy sold today with Spider-Gwen (Derrick Chew Var) on the cover and the guy got several other comics and a Pop with Spider-Gwen.
Thereās an Image title Iām down to my last copy of and appears nonexistent on E-Bay. Everybodyās chasing Spawn and missing the ones selling by Image.
One of the frequent shopping families that bought US1 hasnāt made it by to pick up his comic yet. I wouldnāt be surprised to see them in this weekend. Maybe Iāll be down to 4 copies by Monday.
Also just to amuse myself, I like to add 10 more copies of Ultimate Black Panther #1 to ābackorderā with most other orders now.
Which Image book is selling well for you? Iām so buried under Star Wars comics that I have to read, the only Image books on my pull still (and need to read) are Radiant Black and the rest of the MassiveVerse stuff (Rogue Sun, No/One, etc). I havenāt checked out much new Image besides that stuff. With that said, there does look to be some interesting stuff being put out recently.
Sorry, I got slammed with enormous walk-in traffic and online sales all at the same time. 3PM until a little after 7 covered the rent with card sales, overnight free store pickups paid all but $14 of the Lunar invoice with all those Spawns and backing boards, etc due next week and E-bay Managed payments and the cash in the drawer should be chipping away nicely on the PRH invoice due by the 1st.
Still no more interest on Edge #1 or US2 but one of the walk-ins left after buying a bunch of stuff in store, ordering that Darth Maul Red White and Black series coming soon in a bundle went home and bought all 6 covers for Spawn #350 about 9:20 just when I thought I was done and caught up with the E-Bay orders. Back at it by 5AM this morning which turned out to be helpful since more big orders came in. Highlights would be another person running thru the back issues and ratioās for Poison Ivy and that Avengers Twilight #2 Alex Ross cover that got lost in the hold box and turned up last week in someone elseās slot and the original person declined the chance to grab it moved for double cover last night.
The image title has been sold out since Wednesday when I checked at Diamond and Lunar and E-Bay searches this morning still show very few results. E-Bayās finally up to 5 copies showing now for sale so maybe itāll be Chu worthy soon. Iām not looking to cry wolf on something that hasnāt turned double cover yet that Iāve seen. Maybe by next week itāll be worthy.
Anybody buying any of the other covers or are they sticking to cyclops?

Iāve got a reshipment from the test order arriving tomorrow with 14 copies of the 3 variants that were still in stock. Even if the story ends up unwanted, the Spider-Punk and Spider-Gwen covers will gradually sell at cover to people eventually. Those 2 foils weāll just have to see.
Grand total I had 2 of each open order cover other than the foils which I boycott. That would have been 8 plus an extra Skottie for a subscriber who gets all Skotties, any title and of course the 1 per store.
Now we have 2 Skotties, 2 Spider-Punks and 1 SpiderGwen left until the resupply tomorrow.
I was still editing in more comments. I usually have to edit everything two or 3 times to get all the thoughts in and double check the math and spelling.
Iāll PM it to you since I donāt want to look like Iām pumping and dumping something. Itās not up to normal Chu standards for spec worthiness yet and I donāt want to look like Iām trying to attract sales for it that arenāt based on actual reader interest.
Was going to say One Hand #1 as well. Havenāt seen it on any of my weekend trips to local shops and for a while there werenāt copies of cover A on eBay.
Does having a Surprise Variant showing up now make it Chu worthy? Apparently thereās a mystery variant that canāt be one per store since I didnāt get one.
