Or its the beginning, with this many copies ordered and also being sold, I can only assume it has gotten into the casual crowd. If that is true and casuals are actually heading to LCS’ or eBay to get copies, who knows?
It has me really thinking about DC All-In Special…
If it was short lived… ending soon then I’d sway towards unloading, but the creators have stated long term plans with a significant amount of issues yet to come.
They are creating a ton of fun & excitement in their designs and new takes.
There are so many collectors and readers that are sort of lurking behind the scenes and buying.
You would assume that 1st print issues (of 2-12) wouldn’t be that hard to find…yet here we are. I think back to the 1st Bane issue…I assumed there would be copies for days…again… nowhere to be found. (Well aside from eBay that is).
Yet another reason not to bother grading comics considering people will just be marking down their 9.8s they spent a bunch of money getting graded. Keep it, “Raw,” and make that money!
Fun fact, my wife HATES when I refer to comics that aren’t slabbed as, “Raw.” She says it just sounds weird. She isn’t a prude or anything, she just thinks it sounds weird for a comic.
I’ve been surprised since about #9 how fast shops near me are selling through. Issue #13, which was only last month, first prints are almost gone. I thought for sure those would linger with the amount I initially saw on shelves.
I just don’t know what’s going on with the earth, but Robin (and all variations thereof) is a scorching hot character. I think the Putri hype, as well as the Mora hype, all really started because of Robin (Nightwing, Red Hood) hype. Bonkers.
ABS Batman #1 has broke through the $150 mark heading straight to $200 and beyond. Every time it gets listed it sells immediately. 200K run ain’t stopping this runaway train.
