Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 2)

Are these Dollar Tree variants really that hard to find?

I have looked at multiple dollar trees and have not been able to find them.

How long have they been out? Never seen them.

I just have to wonder who is buying this now? As opposed to when it was getting over the last year or so? Maybe people that sold copies at $50 but now want it back?

I’ve never seen them either, I look through several Dollar Trees etc and never have seen them. Just came across a bunch of listings for them. Reverse action, books that start out as literal dollar bin books and move upwards, instead of the other way around.

Same here. Why

In one of those “holy crap I love this market” moments, I sold an Absolute Batman #15 1:50 for $70 plus shipping in 2 minutes. Paid $13 for it.

The DC All-in Special is starting to ramp up. With $150 sales of Absolute Batman #1 shouldn’t be surprising the first appearances are moving upwards.

I sold a midtown signed copy this week already.

I’m surprised it took this long but that’s the book to have w/ all 3 as well 1st cover apps on the reverse side

Issue 34A is also worth keeping an eye out for.

Yep. Sold my #33 copy a month back for $50. My #34 has been listed for a month at $30 for a month with no bites yet.

I didn’t know this one was up to $150.

Makes no sense why that book is selling for that much

I don’t even have it. I got the Parillo cover. I think most people went for that one.

Cool cover. I like Dapper Red Hood!

To be honest, I’ve been looking for this book and 34 for quite a while
never come across it
.i come across the B covers quite a bit, though in the wild.

I think it’s been gradually disappearing from eBay
finally reached a point where the online supply has dipped below demand
but don’t worry
copies will now find their way out of long boxes and dollar bins and supple will dip the price down.

Bleedingstool is reporting a copy of absolute batman 1 sold today for $300. Of course they never fact check to make sure if it’s an outlier or possible shill sale. They’ve done this many times before trying to sensationalize without ever fact checking.

I do see the sale for $300 but there are lots of copies for sale in the $125-150 price range available.

Bleeding Cool hasn’t been good since I stopped writing for them, well that’s not 100% true, since I stopped writing for them and then they stopped stealing stories off me.

I’d argue even if the content was good while they were stealing off you it still would be sucky due to how they got the good content (e.g. through stealing).
