Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 2)

I believe this predates Ghost Fleet 1 as DWJ first published work.

I’ll have to dig out my copy and look at the notes, but I don’t think he worked on this issue.

Backup story called “ Pieces”

Ah got it. I’ll have to dig it out and re read. Been a while

Not only that, the concept of arbitrage wasn’t invented by comic speculators. It exists in every market with price inequalities.

I stopped trying to fix stupid and save the world a long time ago. Agree 100%

As long as lying about a product isn’t involved, I see no problem at all with anyone paying any amount they agree to for anything. “worth” is subjective and different to each individual

Is this Ito’s first cover? I’ve been a fan of this artist for a while. Really nice water color type stuff, but he has unique takes on the characters.

Quick answer to my own question. Nope. He’s done a few the past handful of months.

Believe his first is G.I. #9 1:50, but I could be wrong.

Here’s a TOTAL shot in the dark book. Assorted Crisis Events, and specifically, issue 7. I’m seeing some buzz around this being the title of the year. I’ve read issues 1-5, and it’s good. A few comments also around issue 7 being the single issue of the year. Even some in-shop chatter about it today.

Since quality books becoming hot seems to be the theme of 2025, maybe this one has a shot. Worst case, it’s a good read.

I need to get the TPB, that’s what I was waiting on to read this one as I’ve heard good things about it as well.

I liked the first issue. Then figured I’d check a trade collection out as I was told each story works independently.

Mofo… Sold out in < 1 minute. I am actually traveling and stayed up at 1AM to place an order and while checking out. In my fken cart when it sold out at 1.00.31 - 1.00.40 AM. I 1.01 AM SOLD OUT while page is loading…. Should simply do a LOTTO system. How da fk, people have a bunch for sell?

I can tell you, the only way people got multiples is if they had multiple people ordering and shipping to multiple addresses. Duplicate addresses were not accepted, duplicate names were not accepted.

Logically yes, but what is the success rate of 10-15 copies obtained in less than 1 minute with multiple people. It got cleared in less than 1 minute? Just do a lotto system, rid of obvious corruption. Obvious corruption is real, hard to convince me of other wise.

Third eye is doing the fulfillment. They are not selling the book, it’s Felix’s book. They are handling the logistics that Felix has contracted them to do, (like renting out Midtown’s shipping website and warehouse). These are the same people who handle fulfillment for Scott Snyder’s store, James Tynion’s store and others. There is no financial benefit for third eye to sell multiple copies to the same person. The list was checked for duplicate names and duplicate addresses. One per person. One per address. Third eye is being paid per book shipped. They make more off shipping multiple packages than they would off shipping multiples to one person. You are free to believe whatever you want but you said obvious corruption, what is the obvious corruption?

If they did IP checks, it would cut down the number the bots would be able to snag as most wouldn’t be that sophisticated in setting up for just a store exclusive I’d imagine and just go ahead and block anyone doing it over a VPN to mask their location.

Sounds like @Anthony should lend his servant @agentpoyo to third eye for these exclusives…give him a new bucket for a job well done.

I’ve seen their buckets… fancy as heck… they even have this lever that flushes and refills the bucket with new fresh non stinky water.
