Modern Comics Heating Up (Those With Potential Too) (Part 2)

I preordered this and all covers from TFAW when I did the catalog article. Mine are on the way. I think we could see spill over to the other covers based on people not being able to find it.

So what would be his first comic? The very first I can find is a couple of exclusives for 616 Comics (probably shouldn’t that against him, people sometimes do unsavoury things in the beginning) but his first open order seems to be King Spawn #20, Mar 1st, 2023. If the exclusives count it would be Vampirella Mindwarp #2 on Oct 12, 2022.

I recall liking what I read of, “The Beauty.” I never finished it as I fell off a lot of books at one point with various life stuff. It was good tho.

I’m not much of a Frison fan but the Beauty #1 cover she did is pretty excellent.

never went back to read more myself. I think I got into the first 5-6 issues before dropping.

Fantasma has really grown on me. At first I thought the character design looked silly, ghost rider with a skirt. Now I love the design. Wished I stocked up on the new champions cover when they were readily available. This has been a good year for spec with some not popping right away but eventually heating up.

I haven’t read the comic yet, but did read the spoilers
I thought it looked like a good intro. Off to a good start.

Agreed. On that first cover, there was a Jetsons maid (Rosie?) energy. Wasn’t feeling it. But, maybe they are dialing that back now. But, I sold my 3 copies with delight. More are out there, waiting to be found.

Highest I’ve seen so far

Batman 153 makes the “movers” list with 11 copies sold?

These are strictly eBay sales, right?

Who’s buying Batman on eBay anyway?

People who don’t live near a comic shop or the same people that calls for ubereats delivery from Mcdonalds

Yes, strictly online sales, I would guess mostly eBay but they say they draw from auction sites as well. These sales I’m assuming are eBay sales.

Might also be because its a key, 1st appearance of Commander Star, whoever that is.
