Spear’s Green Lantern connecting covers came out this week and haven’t been mentioned at all…
and supermans in a few weeks
For me, zero interest in his stuff that isn’t isn’t in some way horror related.
I like (and grabbed his Spawn stuff) as it still worked for me.
I sort of felt that way about E.M Gist as well. Absolutely incredible artist, but I’m particular about the subject matter he paints.
At a certain point, with the way Spears is flooding the market (and why shouldn’t he), I can only assume others will begin to be a bit more selective in what they purchase as well.
Did you bought these book you listed from online retailer? If so, mind telling us who it was, so I can avoid it like the plague…
Well. Listed my copy of Ultiman Giant Annual last night. It came in lower condition in my opinion than the other one (both Vf according to Mycomicshop) sold it for $80. I feel like that is a huge win for me. Book is off the chart. Holding one still.
Good to hear. I probably won’t get mine until the middle of next week. Not sure if I should sell both or one, keeping the other for the pc. I have a feeling in a year the book will still be solid but a bit less then where it is now.
My second set just sold. I had a buyer who asked to buy all 3 for $75 less than I had listed them at. I politely told him that my non NM set sold for more than he was willing to pay. He of courses offered more but still less than what my first set sold for. Fast forward to today when my foil sold at what I had listed it at and the low ball guy comes in and pays full price for the remaining books. FOMO is a real thing. lol. One more set which I may wait a day or two to list.
I hate lowballs. “Hey I will buy this at 1/3 the listed price so you can sell them real quick, and I can resell them at your original asking price”
I agree. I listed the Thundercats Apex 1:15 on Wednesday night and must have gotten 4-5 offers but all low. I always try to be polite, but some folks are just rude. I had one person tell me that it was a fair offer considering it was $20 under the closed sold Ebay auctions. He started at $20 and got nastier everytime I declined. Thank god, you can block folks…
God of War books heating up!
While the Wildstorm God of War books may have been out of reach for a while, some recent Dark Horse books can still be found in the wild. These were a $15-25 book recently but they have taken another bump. A NM++ copy just sold for $40, cheaper lower grade listings can still be found. Keep an eye out for these.
You do see the irony here….isn’t that like flippers getting upset at shops which price new books for 3 times the cover price on day of release because they can’t flip them on eBay…?
I just don’t allow best offers. Pay my price or f$&@ off!
I don’t get upset, I just do not buy from them. I will walk on two hours of pulling books out of back issue bins and they check prices on eBay at the counter
Damn that reminds me I need to finish GOW 3 and then move on to 4 and Rag
Ultimate universe Year One seems to have completely slowed down already. I’m surprised.
Hope not I have 2 more on the way
I could see it bump back up when Ultimate Wolverine’s first issue drops.
I sure hope so. Sitting on waaaay too many copies.
I sold 4 for $15 each over the weekend.
At least Absolute Batman #1 still has some heat going into 2025.
