Since this week is the dreaded fifth week, I did what I love best and bought really cheap silver age books. Here is what I got.
Who knew DC Jimmy Olsen was the inspiration for Brewsterâs Millions. lol.

Keep an eye out for Abso-Bat 1 2nd prints. My shop didnât even have their few copies on the shelf. All spoken for. I pulled one of these, and they are gorgeous. Just the DC logo on it.
Also, Monsters 1 2nd print didnât show up for my shop. Had one pulled pre-FOC. They got zip.
I agree with the 2nd print Absolute Batman, my LCS didnât order any in for the shelf only the FOC requests. My online go too store had 50 and they were gone in 10 min, maybe all one person but still. Havenât found any in the wild today at all.
A ton selling on eBay. Price hasnât really jumped yet, but Iâd guess it will as the day goes on.
dollar bin I tell ya, dolla bin!
I grabbed three of them.

My shop has a ton but all priced at $12. I had my preorder copy of course.
Your shop marks up the price on release day? Time to find a new shop.
My LCS still has the first prints on the shelf, theyâre limiting to 1 per customer, rolling them out slowly.
Limited options here unfortunately. I live & die by my prowess (and by the assistance of you all) when it comes to preorders.
I have a few shops a distance away I can typically find under the radar books or late bloomer type stuff but otherwise I deal with the hand Iâm dealt.
Got 6 copies of Absolute Batman #1 2nd print , Deodato Variant & Foil Variant. Also picked up 3 copies of Monsters #1 2nd Print to name a few. Had to go to 3 different shops. Got several coming in the mail. That Amazing Spiderman #60 Adam Hughes cover is my favorite cover this week for some odd reason.
Happy New Comic Book Day/Hallows Eve.
Hughes draws a good woman.
I wasnât going to mess with Absolute Batman 2nd prints, but I legitimately prefer the 2nd print A cover to the 1st print A cover. I got to my LCS 30 minutes after opening and A covers were already gone; they didnât order a lot. Signs were up and some chat about the 3rd print.
I bought nothing, but, I did peruse the Absolute Batman 2nd prints listings on eBay. Didnât buy any as Iâd rather have some âŠ
Mark Spears Monsters. I have splurged on some of those for the collection, but not the Kickstarterâs. Bought the 1A (x3), 1B, dual-sided foil, 1:25, 2nd print and sketch cover (x3). Also pre-ordered a 9.8 of the Dracula âdripping bloodâ cover B as I think that one is going to be a tough one to grade. Itâs also the lowest print of the âregularâ non-ratio, non-exclusive, non-foil, non-metal, non-whatever-else covers. Weâll see if the popularity continues.
The Kickstarter Frankenstein recently sold raw for $566.
Some bronze beauties and some books for potential flips.
And some one per store preview variants for free
I miss the action art on covers⊠that kind of tells you whatâs gonna go on on the inside. The whole posing for the camera covers suck!
Has anyone opened any of the polybag SIKTC #0 to see how ârareâ the chainsaw variant is?
Is one more rare than the others?
Yes, the chainsaw variant is supposed to be more rare
